I, Samuel Nicholson of Dundas township fifty five in Kings County P.E.Island, being of sound mind, but weak in body and aware of the uncertainty of this life, do hereby make this my last Will and testament, and bequeath my worldly effects in form and manner following that is to say.

East Millinocket and Lincoln - Elizabeth Roach Fiske, 75, died Sept. 7, 1985, at a Lincoln nursing home, where she had been a resident for nearly a year. She was born March 17, 1910, in Fort Augustus, Prince Edward Island, the daughter of John and Catherine (McTague) Roach. She was predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Harry A. Fiske in 1978 and her four brothers, Joseph, William, Walter, and Edward; and one sister, Mary Bonoveto. She graduated from Schenck in 1928 and lived in East Millinocket all of her growing-up years. She became a naturalized citizen of the U.S. in 1941. After her marriage, she moved to Medway where she made her home until 1963. She then moved to Millinocket with her husband, where they lived for 15 years. After her husband's death, she sold her home and moved to Oak Park Manor, East Millinocet. She was a communicant of St. Peter's Catholic Church, East Millinocket, St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church of Millinocket and a former member of both St. Ann's Circle, Daughters of Isabella of East Millinocket and Little Flower Circle, Daughters of Isabella of Millinocket. She cooked for many years for the school lunch programs in the Medway school and cooked for two summers at Camp Natarswi in Millinocket. She is survived by her daughter, Judy and husband, Charles W. Theriault Sr. of East Millinocket; one granddaughter Elizabeth, her namesake, and hubband Allen LeClerc; two grandsons, Charles Chuck Theriault Jr. and Daniel Theriault, all of East Millinocket; one brother, Martin Roach of East Millinocket; six nieces, Jacqueline (Webberly) Thomkins of Worcester, Mass., Patricia (Webberly) Frizzora of Worcester, Mass., Gail (Roach) Rideout of Rochester, N.Y., Suzanne (Roach) Wedge of Saco, Billee Jean (Roach) Morrison of Millinocket and Anne (Roach) Cole of Veazie; four nephews, Jack Roach of Arizona, Martin Roach of West Virginia, Steven Roach of Manchester, N.H. and Robert Roach of Worcester, Mass.

General Notes: Husband - Warren Robinson
He attended school, summer and winter, until he was ten, then just brief winter terms until he was twenty. Later he was a student of an academy at St. Albans, VT, for one term. In the winter of 1826, he became the teacher of the school he formerly attended and continued to teach there for eighteen years. He was superintendent of schools in Swanton until 1848, then removed to Highgate where he also was superintendent for several years. He took an active part in public affairs in both towns. For fifteen years, he worked at the trade of carpenter, without serving an apprenticeship. In 1849, he sold this business and bought a farm of eighty acres at East Highgate. He sold this place to Cephas Robinson in 1868. In 1865, he invented the Robinson dumping wagon, patented Mar 5, 1867. In Oct, 1867, he lost the sight of an eye. The following winter, he wrote the history of the town of Highgate for the Vermont Gazetter. In religion, he was a Universalist.

Dear John,
I noticed that your posted family tree (My Richardson Heritage)
includes General Willard Gordon Wyman. I can confirm that the
information found in the SSDI does point to the general. His wife Ethel
is also listed there, and I have obtained both of their original Social
Security applications. If you don't have those, and would find them of
any value, I would gladly send them as e-mail attachments. Since you did
correctly identify the general's parents, you may already have his
application, but not necessarily any information about his wife.
Her maiden name was Ethel Megginson, born in Norfolk, Va., or in nearby
Princess Anne County. Her mother was Annie Lee Capps, who was born in
Princess Anne County inabout 1875. Annie's father was Dennis M. Capps,
coincidentally my great grandfather. My father knew Ethel as his
cousin. In connection with my family history research, I found Ethel in
the 1920 census in Hampton, Va., working asa stenographer at a military
installation. Willard was then a Lieutenant atFort Monroe, and I
imagine that is where they met, though I can't be sure. I have spoken by
phone to the general's son, also Willard G. I believe therewere two
other children who predeceased their brother.
In the mid-1950s I worked as a civilian scientist on the staff of
General Wyman, he then the commanding general of CONARC, the Continental
Army Command, at Fort Monroe. My wife and
I attended a New Year's Day open house, meeting General and Mrs Wyman.
It was only after I mentioned that meeting to my father that I learned
she was a blood relative.
I have information on several earlier generations of Capps in Virginia,
though your pursuit of family history may not go that far in a collateral
line.
If you would like more information, including one or both of the Social
Security applications, just reply to my e-mail and you will have it very
soon. (As you might suspect from the timing of my interactions with
General Wyman, I am not a young man, so don't delay long if you wantany
of my data.)

Thanks for responding (and for forwarding my address to a Wyman family
member).
Ethel Megginson was born 17 Dec 1896, some question as to whether
Norfolk or Princess Anne County, VA. Her father was Benjamin Joseph
Megginson, born about 1872 in North Carolina; her mother was Annie Lee
Capps, born about 1875 in Princess Anne County.
Ethel died in Oct 1986.
