He was born Feb. 5, 1939, in Peru, to Frank B. and Margaret E. Hoon Witham. He married Phyllis A. Foerg on Aug. 28, 1965, in Pulaski. She survives.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Holy Name Society, Pulaski. He was also a member of the Harley Owners Group, American Motorcycle Association, and ABATE of Indiana.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., Monday, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac.The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. The funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday (Jan. 27), in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Pulaski, with Rev. Ronald Schiml officiating. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery South, Pulaski.
Memorial donations may be given to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Pulaski.

"Job Throckmorton enlisted May 27, 1777 as a private, Captain Hendrick Smock's Company, First Reg., Monmouth Co., N.J. Militia, Col. Asher Holmes, and served every alternate month in 1777; six months in 1778; six months in 1779; six months in 1780; and six months in 1781, - during the Rev. War (from the Adj. Gen. of the State of N.J.). Applied for a pension July 31, 1832, and was paid $80 per annum to March 4, 1839. Sum received $240(?) (Rev. Pension roll, Monmouth Co., N.J.; Bureau of Pensions, Washington, D.C.). Job Throckmorton was a Whig in politics and became the first Methodist in Monmouth County, 1780. The Methodists were few in number and much persecuted in New Jersey at that time. Mr. Throckmorton freed his slaves before his death."

"Morford Throckmorton was a Democrat and one of the pioneers of the M.E. Church. His home was a Christian home where God was daily worshiped and was ever open to his ministers. Every member of his family came into the M.E. church and became not merely nominal members but zealous workers in the activities of the congregation. He was a wealthy man for the time and place in which he lived, owning at his death 970 acres of fertile land with fine improvements."

EXETER -- Corinne E. Cotton, 85, of Vincent Street, died Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2006, at Exeter Hospital after a brief illness.
Mrs. Cotton was born April 19, 1921, in Millinocket, Maine, the daughter of Ralph L. and Carrie E. (Sturgeon) Robinson.
She resided in Newmarket from 1959 to 1970 and has lived in Exeter since 1977.
Mrs. Cotton worked at Thompson Hall at the University of New Hampshire, the Exeter Manufacturing Co., and Phillips Exeter Academy.
She was a member of the Newmarket Community Church and the Newmarket High School Booster Club.
She was a member of Corinthian -- Queen Esther Chapter O.E.S. in Kingston, and was a former vice president of Penobscot County Cooperative Extension Service in Bangor, Maine.
Corinne was predeceased by her husband, Lloyd P. Cotton Sr., in 1996; and by her daughter, Phyllis Zottoli.
She is survived by three daughters, Marilyn Vose of California, Pamela Walker of Nottingham and Cynthia Busch of Winterport; two sons, L. Philip Cotton Jr. of Newmarket and Timothy D. Cotton of Nottingham; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; five brothers, Preston S. Robinson of Colorado, Wilmot H. Robinson of Millinocket, Maine, Ralph L. Robinson of Nashua, Earl J. Robinson of Holden, Maine, and Paul W. Robinson of Maitland, Fla.; one sister, Carrie Farquhar of Millinocket, Maine; and several nieces and nephews.

MILLINOCKET - Wilmot "Wiggie" Robinson, 85, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away Fri-day, June 29, 2007, at his cherished camp on the West Branch of the Penobscot River. He was born May 18, 1922, in Millinocket, the son of Ralph and Carrie (Sturgeon) Robinson. Wiggie was a graduate of Stearns High School, Class of 1939. He served in the U.S. Army Quartermaster Corps in Iran, during World War II. After three years of active duty, he returned to Millinocket and married his sweetheart, Joyce Morgan, March 14, 1946. Wiggie was a longtime employee of Great Northern Paper Co., Millinocket, retiring in 1980, after 34 years. He was a member of Millinocket Baptist Church, BPOE No. 1521, Millinocket; Francis Elliott Post No. 4154 VFW, Millinocket; Maine Snow-mobile Association, Northern Timber Cruisers and many other organizations too numerous to list. Wiggie loved the outdoors and spent much of his life in the outdoors, and writing and talking about Maine outdoor recreation. He was a Maine master guide since 1950 and was a life member of the National Rifle Association and Maine Trappers Association. Wiggie started the Maine Bird Dog Club, was instrumental in founding the Sportsman's Alliance of Maine and served as its executive director for many years. He was also a founding and life member of the Millinocket Fin and Feather Club. Wiggie served the state of Maine for many years as chairman of the Maine Guide's Board of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife Advisory Council for 20 years and the White Water Advisory Council. He was a member of Trout Unlimited and Ducks Unlimited. Wiggie was a long time outdoor photographer and writer, and was, at the time of his death, an outdoor columnist for the Northwoods Sporting Journal, the Maine Sportsman magazine, the Katahdin Times, the Community Press and the Katahdin Press, and was also co-host of the radio program, The Maine Outdoors, with V. Paul Reynolds on WVOM radio. Since 1979, he was a member of the Outdoor Writers Association of America, OWAA, which bestowed on him the Jackie Pfeifler Award, a very prestigious award given in recognition of the recipient's generosity and kindness toward others. This award was only bestowed five other times in the history of the OWAA. Wiggie was also a member of the New England Outdoor Writers Association of America. Wiggie is survived by his wife of 61 years, Joyce (Mor-gan) Robinson of Millinocket; three children, Judy Robinson and her companion, Dusty Cramp, of Woodville, Patsy Huston and her husband, Sam, of Millinocket and Jay Robinson of Woodville; a daughter-in-law, Brenda Robinson of Millinocket; siblings, Preston Robinson of Colorado Springs, Colo., Ralph Robinson of New Hampshire, Carrie Farquhar and her husband, Doug, of Mill-inocket, Earl Robinson and his wife, Janet, of East Holden and Paul Robinson and his wife, Claudia, of Maitland, Fla.; three grandchildren, Alyssa Huston, Lea Ann Robinson and Michael Robinson, all of Millinocket; a great-grandson, Billy Lee Bernier of Millinocket; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his oldest son, Michael S. Robinson; his oldest grandson, Matthew Huston; brothers, James, Eldon, Donald, Leo and Charles Robinson; and a sister, Corinne Cotton. Friends are invited to visit with the family 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at Bouchard - Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, at Millinocket Baptist Church, 297 Penobscot Ave., Millinocket, with the Rev. Rudy Homchuck, pastor, officiating.
