Thankful _____, b 1736, d 10 Sep 1820, ?Belgrade. He came to Belgrade
1774 from Woburn, MA, as 2nd settler, clearing land on the south side of
Belgrade Hill. Carl YEATON, chair of the Belgrade Bicentennial Committee
said (13 Jan 1996) that Wyman purchased a horse in Sidney, rowed across
Messalonskee Lake with the animal, and several days later, the horse,

Lawrence S. Severance, 77, died Jan. 25 1989, at a Millinocket hospital. He was born in Prentiss, July 21, 1911, the son of George and Flora (Chubbuck) Severance. He was self-employed before retirement and was also a deputy sheriff in Aroostook and Penobscot counties. He is survived by his wife, Mary (Mosley) Severance of Molunkus; one daughter Jacqueline Francis of Perth Andover, New Brunswick; one son, Michael and daughter-in-law, Lorna Severance; six grandchildren, Cynthia Marshall of Rowena, New Brunsick, Craig Francis of Frederickton, New Brunswick, Dana Francis and Jennifer Francis, both of Perth Andover, Joni Lowell of East Millinocket and Rhonda Severance of Medway; one great-grandson, one sister, Laura Adams of New London, Conn.; seveal nieces and nephews.

MEDWAY - Mary Agnes (Mosley) Severance, 96, wife of the late Lawrence Severance, passed away June 9, 2013, at a Millinocket hospital. She was born Sept. 14, 1916, in Bar Harbor, daughter of Charles Elbridge Mosley and Mollie (Delargey) Mosley.
Mary graduated in 1933 from Bar Harbor High School and from Castine Normal School in 1935. She then went on to earn a master's degree from the University of Maine, Orono. Mary's first job was at Bryce School, Lakeview Plantation. Over her 34 year career, she also taught in Alexander, Mattawamkeag, Winn and East Millinocket. Mary was an active member of the Daughter's of the American Revolution and Medway Senior Citizens.
She is survived by daughter, Jacqueline Francis-Madore and husband, John Madore, of Tilley, New Brunswick; son, Lawrence Michael Severance and wife, Lorna, of Medway; five grandchildren, Cynthia Marshall, Patrick Craig Francis and Candace, Charles Dana Francis, Mary Jennifer Bear and Kevin and Joni Lowell and Scott; grandson-in-law, Calvin Thompson; 10 great-grandchildren, Chance Marshall, Brittany Francis, Alex Francis, Houston Bear, Connor Bear, Michael Lowell, Lauren Lowell, Mikala Thompson, Matthew Thompson, and Kristin Thompson; and great-great-grandson, Cameron Thompson. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by granddaughter, Rhonda Thompson.

Eva I. Goudreau, 92, formerly of Riverview Street died April 6,
2000, at Greenwood Center after a long illness.
She was born here, a daughter of Alfred and Josephine (Motard)
Tellier, and attended Sanford parochial schools. Mrs. Goudreau
was employed by the former Allied Shoe shop and the former
Sanford Dress shop, and retired some years ago.
She was a communicant of Holy Family Church and was a member of
the Ladies of Saint Anne.
Crocheting was one of her hobbies.
Her husband, Lucien Goudreau, died in 1972, and a son, Gerard
Goudreau, in 1985.
Surviving are a daughter, Beatrice Pepin of Sanford; six
grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at Holy
Family Church, with the Rev. Richard P. Rice officiating.
Burial will follow in St. Ignatius Cemetery. Arrangements are
by LaFrance-Lambert Funeral Home.

She was born March 29, 1917, in Lincoln, the daughter of Eugene and Maud (Sturgeon) Mott. Geraldine graduated from Mattanawcook Academy and attended the Maine School of Commerce. She lived in Lincoln most of her life, working as a telephone operator, as a clerk in Clay's Store and Osgood's, and for a long time, assisting her husband in the operation of Don's Diner on Main Street. She was a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She is survived by a daughter, Sally Danforth and her husband, Avern; three granddaughters and their families, Dawn Danforth and her daughter, Jeanine, Jane McGillicuddy and her husband, Dan and their sons, Derek and Jared, and Shelley Farrington and her husband, Matt and their daughters, Grace and Avery; and a niece, Judy (Mott) Petrie. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Edward Eugene Mott.
