When the Wooley kids were little, we thought our mother was referring toAunt Anne as "Anne Anne" so that was her name to us for as long as shelived. My son asked what he should call her and I told him he shouldcall her "Anne Anne Anne" because she was his Great Aunt but he decided, instead, to call her "Triple Anne" which amused her greatly. She lovedchildren and a good time was always had at her house. She loved to playcards and taught us many different card games throughout her life.Canasta and SCAT were my favorites.

MEDWAY - On Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, Lynn Beaumont went home to the Lord. She passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends.
Lynn grew up in Millinocket and was a graduate of Stearns High School. She was a communicant of Christ the Divine Mercy Parish at St. Peter's Catholic Church, East Millinocket, and was a member of Daughters of Isabella, St. Ann's Circle. Lynn enjoyed landscaping at her house and her mother-in-law's, and thoroughly enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom and raising her children. Lynn truly loved people. She had a special way of greeting everyone so they felt that she was genuinely happy to see them. Lynn had a very generous and loving nature. She cherished her family and friends, and the time she spent with them. Her support was unconditional, and her help was always offered rather than asked for. She loved God, and the life she lived was a fine example of that love.
Lynn is survived by her parents, Arline Levasseur and her husband, Ray, of Millinocket; her husband of 22 years, David J. Beaumont of Medway; three children, Lindsey Hostetler and her husband, Cody, of Okinawa, Japan, Anne Marie Beaumont and Aaron Beaumont, both of Medway; two grandchildren, Ava Marie Hostetler and Ezekiel Hostetler; four siblings, Steve Cullen and his wife, Mary Alice, of Millinocket, Jim Cullen and his wife, Kim, of Phippsburg, Tim Cullen of Millinocket and Nancy Cullen and her fiancé, Dan Hackett, of Preston, Conn.; her mother-in-law, Genevieve Beaumont of Medway; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her father, Edward Cullen; and a brother, Michael Cullen. The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at Millinocket Regional Hospital for the care and support given to Lynn and the family.

He initiated some of the first policies in the province to encourage the development of small industry and the processing of farm products.
Eugene Patrick Cullen (August 7, 1905 - July 9, 1995) was a farmer and political figure on Prince Edward Island. He represented 3rd Queens in the Legislative Assembly of Prince Edward Island from 1944 to 1959 as a Liberal.

Cullen was educated at the Union Commercial College and the Prince Edward Island Agricultural and Technical School. He spent much of his life living on a dairy farm originally owned by his father in Central Royalty, later known as Cullen Sherwood. Between 1922 and 1946, the Cullen family operated a dairy farm and a raw milk route. On 1 February 1946, Cullen founded Purity Dairy Limited on Kent Street in Charlottetown. The dairy met with success and was incorporated in 1953. Purity eventually acquired G and G Dairy Limited. By 1990, Purity Dairy owned nine delivery trucks, employed 25 people, and had 3,500 patrons. It has continued to thrive into the 21" century. Sister Bernice Cullen donates significant documents to UPEI
One of the more important documents in the history of higher education in Prince Edward Island has just been added to the PEI Special Collection in the Robertson Library at UPEI. The document is Sister Bernice Cullen's 1941 Bachelor of Arts degree, the first degree ever granted by St. Dunstan's University (SDU).
Before 1941, SDU was affiliated with Laval University and degrees were granted in the name of that renowned institution. The fact that the first SDU degree was awarded, with honours, to a woman, at a time when relatively few women attended university, makes it all the more remarkable.
Sister Bernice Cullen is a member of the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Martha. Her SDU degree is part of a larger gift that she has made to the Robertson Library's University Archives that includes her certificates and diplomas from both St. Dunstan's University and Prince of Wales College (PWC).
"We are pleased to receive these important pages in the stories of our University's two forebears, and of Sister Bernice Cullen," said Simon Lloyd, UPEI's Special Collections Librarian. "The fact that this impressive gift includes Sister Cullen's certificates and diplomas from both PWC and SDU is not only a tribute to her exceptional quest for knowledge, it is also a powerful reminder that Prince of Wales and St. Dunstan's were not, in fact, two solitudes, and that there were many students and faculty who, like Sister Cullen, participated in the lives of both institutions."
Before attending St. Dunstan's, Sister Cullen had already established herself as an outstanding scholar at Prince of Wales College. She twice won the Frank R. Heartz Prize, as the top student in both her first and second years of study, and, in 1933, won a high honour third-year diploma, the highest academic attainment possible at PWC at that time.
Sister Cullen's first- and second-year certificates carry the signatures of her professors, including such well-known figures as Samuel Robertson, JD Steele, J.H. Blanchard, and Eleanor Lowe. Seeing the names of so many educational leaders - not least Sister Cullen herself - together on a single page forcefully illustrates how the legacy of learning passes from one generation to the next," explained Lloyd. "The certificates, and the third-year diploma, also record the marks Sister Cullen achieved in each course. Anyone familiar with the famously tough marking at PWC would surely be impressed."
"Oh it's amazing how the condition has changed for the better. I hardly recognize them," Sr. Cullen said during a special ceremony held to recognize her valuable personal gifts to UPEI . Sr. Cullen thanked the university for the opportunity to recall many happy memories and for the chance to clear out her trunk. "It's a celebration alright," she said.
After graduating from PWC, Sister Cullen taught in local schools. In 1935 she became a professed member of the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Martha, and in 1941 she completed her Bachelor of Arts at SDU. By the time she had finished her studies, she was one of the best-educated women in Prince Edward Island. She received her doctorate in Sacred Doctrine from St. Mary's College, Notre Dame, Indiana in 1958 and joined the faculty of St. Dunstan's, to teach Religious Studies, in 1966. She remained at the University for 13 years, seeing the amalgamation of SDU and PWC through its founding years. Now in her nineties, she remains devoted to her congregation, her community, and her Alma Mater.
Sister Cullen recently attended a special ceremony at UPEI to recognize the historic importance of the documents she has donated to the Robertson Library
Claire Trainor, conservation technician with the Archives Council of Prince Edward Island, had used her expertise in archival best practices to 'relax', unroll, and press the documents, safely preparing them for display at the ceremony. Special Collections Librarian Simon Lloyd expressed the University's appreciation of the gifts.
Taken together, these and other documents in the collection provide a unique and valuable insight into the outstanding Island education of an outstanding Islander," he said. "On behalf of the Archives' users, we thank Sister Cullen for her vision and generosity in entrusting this legacy to us
In 2000, Sister Cullen was recognized as an important contributor to the development of post-secondary education in PEI by being named among the first group of 'Founders' to be honoured by UPEI. The University also recognized her, together with the other members of the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Martha, through an honorary degree in 2005.

Sr. Bernice Cullen dies at age 92

JIM DAY
The Guardian
Sr. Bernice Cullen, who made her mark both in the classroom and in her congregation, died Monday.
She was 92.
In 1941, Cullen, a Sister of the Congregation of Saint Martha, received the first degree ever granted by St. Dunstan’s University. Last year, she donated that bachelor of arts degree to the P.E.I. Special Collection in the Robertson Library.
She taught the first rural Grade 11 class in Kinkora. She often said that she never taught subjects, she taught students.
She once told The Guardian that one of her philosophies of education was to listen to the students and their needs.
“Even in elementary school, I remember a student being very hurt and he showed it in his eyes even, when I doubted his word,’’ she said.
“I asked him a question and I said, ‘Are you sure?’ and he said, ‘Sister, if I had done that I would have told you the first time’ and I never forgot that.’’
At the request of her congregation, Cullen resumed her studies in a graduate program at St. Mary’s College, Notre Dame in Indiana, graduating in 1958 with a doctorate in the sacred doctrine.
In 1966, she joined the staff of St. Dunstan’s and became the first female member of the religious studies department. She remained at the university for 13 years, seeing the amalgamation of SDU and Prince of Wales College through its founding years.
In receiving a UPEI Founder award, Cullen was cited for her dedication to her faith and her devotion to her craft.
She once conceded that she could have held “big positions’’ if she worked hard on her educational career, but she valued her career serving God.
“My vocation as a sister was more important,’’ she said at the time.
Cullen was predeceased by all of her 11 siblings and by her parents, Timothy P. and Frances Cullen.
Visitation is Wednesday 7-9 p.m. and Thursday 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Mount St. Mary’s Mother House.

2 NOTE CT Death Index file number 15228.
Died in Woodbridge, CT
Apparently changed his name from Patrick Henry Colety to Francis HenryColety. There is no evidence that this was a legal name change. Storygoes he was upset at being left behind when Julia Sweeney died and theolder children moved to California.
Lawyer
090-32-9135
Moved from New York upon retirement.
Birth records show he was born as Patrick Henry Colety but he apparentlychanged his name to Francis Colety before moving to Connecticut. Aninteresting anecdotal tale from Brian Colety indicates after the death ofJulia Sweeney, most of the children were sent out to California to bewith relatives (?). Patrick Henry's son, Patrick Henry Jr. was for somereason not sent out west and instead ended up in an orphanage. This mayexplain why he changed his name from Patrick Henry like his father toFrancis.
Birth source is batch # C502281 Dated 1771 - 1873 Call # 0859616 Printoutcall is 0883790. There is an Ellis Island passenger list record for theMajestic indicating Francis Colety returned from Southampton,Southamptonshire England UK as a US citizen on 9/10/1908. His maritalstatus at the time was single. Apparently Francis lived at times inMassachusetts, New York and Connecticut. In the 1920 census he resided atWest 27th Street, Manhatten, New York City, NY with Alice (neé McGrath)with no reported children. At the time he was 43 and Alice was 29. Hereported both his mother and father (Patrick Henry Colety and JuliaSweeney) as being born in Ireland. Alice McGrath reports her father bornin Ireland, her mother born in New York. He was a practicing lawyer whilein New York City. He retired at age 74.

Death: Feb. 29, 1892
Civil War Union Brigadier General. Born in New York City, New York, he later would move with his family to Meadville, Pennsylvania. He graduated from West Point 3rd in the 43-man class of 1833. His high academic ranking gained him a position in the construction engineers, where he helped build harbor fortifications in his native city as well as in Boston, Newport, New London, Annapolis, and Charleston. When the corps was expanded in 1838, he was promoted to Captain, a rank he held for the next 23 years. During that period he also taught engineering at his alma mater and for 2 years was on inactive duty due to poor health. Early in the Civil War, he served as aide-de-camp to Winfield Scott, commanding general of the army, then took a position with the United States Sanitary Commission. Promoted to Brigadier General of Volunteers on November 1, 1861, he became chief of staff and chief engineer to Major General Henry W. Halleck, then commanding the Department of the Missouri and later the Department of the Mississippi. After serving in the advance on Corinth, he accompanied Halleck to Washington when the latter replaced Major General George B. McClellan in army command. Retaining the rank of engineer, he was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel of Regulars on March 3, 1863. In September 1864 he left Halleck's staff and spent the next 2 years as the Superintendent of the United States Military Academy. Later he held posts on engineering boards and engaged in other assignments with his corps until he retired, with the rank of Colonel and brevet Major General, on January 13, 1874. In civilian life he resided in New York City, married the widow of his former boss and close friend General Halleck, (she was the granddaughter of American patriot Alexander Hamilton), and pursued scientific and philanthropic endeavors. From 1877 until his death he was vice president of the American Geographical Society of New York, and wrote and translated monographs on engineering. In retirement he also wrote histories of the Revolution and the War of 1812, and updated a work originally published in 1850: Biographical Register of the Officers and Graduates of the United States Military Academy. This was a most important work, for it gave birth to the "Culllum Number." This number is the system of numbering graduates and keeping their biographical data. The Academy has always held the stance that no graduate has ever held a deeper affection for the Academy or a greater pride in the achievements of its graduates than he. A 3rd edition of this major reference work was released a year before his death from pneumonia in New York City. In accordance with his will, supplements were added to the set in 1900, 1910, and 1920. Since he had no descendants, again in accordance with his will, he bequeathed his fortune to his living relatives and those of General Halleck, and to museums, hospitals, libraries, churches, and the American Geographical Society, with the largest part of his bequest going to the United States Military Academy. I exchange data with people who have a interlocking marriage
into any surnames that interlocks into any of the branches
of my families.I started when I was 10 years old now 68years.
I am sharing my data in the interest of collaborative research.
I do this to help people to find there lineages and to fill
the pedigree charts.
I have not personally researched all families listed; dates
and information are subject to verification. Not responsible
for typographical errors misplaced citations. Missing
sources/references are because of my learning curve, not my
intention. You are encouraged to seek further documention
for your own confirmation.Further I have no control what
other people include about their families in any of the
data that they exchange.
If there are no dates about the living, then the computers
can not determine if the person is alive or deceased.
The sites set the living anywhere from 75 to 100 years
depending on the laws of the countries that they are in.
When I exchange with lineages the living are sometime shown
depending on who you are exchanging with, but my
request is that,if you update any of my data to the
internet, you also set the do not show the living, before
you update to the internet.
Also place in the source your contact email
address, and the lineage, so people can contact you
reqarding your update.
I have no claim to owning the data, except that which is
my immediate lineage, and even that is worked on by many
members of my family lineages. It is only as good as what
people put into it,that exchange with me. So look
in the notes of the genealogy for origin, if they put it
there,or the source.
If you are going to correct, update or put new branches on the
lineage your are inquirying about, please do not add from what
I have sent you,(This just duplicates how many more people
I have to find in the duplicates and merge them, edit your
notes to ensure that there is nothing there that you do not
want published.
Also do not submit information on copyrights that invades the
privacy of others especially for a relative that has not given
you permission to publish same.
Remember nothing is carved in stone except time.
The best way for me to describe the relationship, is for
example if you have 6,000 people in your data base
that are connected via interlocking marriages, and
you find that you have a marriage that is interlocked into
one of my people in my data base, then they are related
via interlocking marriages, does not matter how distant.
The difference here is that the interlocking into my data
base would link to over 631,749 people via interlocking
marriages.
My hobby is working on interlocking marriages,to any
family surname that is in my data, and I exchange with
people to find them, and to assist them in finding lineage
that link into their families.

Canmore
King Malcolm III of Scotland (Mèl Coluim mac Donnchada), (1031 – Novemb
er 13, 1093) also known as Cenn Mór (Anglicized as Canmore) meaning 'Big H
ead' inthe then Scottish language. "Malcolm" is an anglicization deriv
ed from a Latin form, Malcolmus. The name Mèl Coluim means 'Servant of Co
lumba', after the devotional pattern of many medieval Scottish names ( c
/f Mèl Ísu' (Malise), 'servant of Jesus' or Gilla Coluim, also 'serva
nt of Columba'). He was the eldest son of King Duncan I and first ki
ng of the House of Dunkeld.
In 1040 his father was killed in battle by his cousin Macbeth who became t
he new king. Malcolm found refuge in the Kingdom of England under the prot
ection of KingHarthacanute of Denmark and England. In 1042 Harthacanute d
ied and was succeeded to the throne of England by his half-brother King Ed
ward the Confessor. In 1053 Edward finally agreed to help Malcolm gain t
he throne of Scotland by offering him an army. Malcolm's invasion of Scotl
and started in the same year. Malcolm found support from the nobles of Sou
thern Scotland. He managed to kill first Macbeth in 1057 and then his succ
essor King Lulach I of Scotland in1058. He then succeeded Lulach as kin
g. He was crowned at Scone Abbey, Perthshire, on April 25, 1058. He marri
ed Ingibjorg, widow of the Earl of Orkney, in about 1065 and they had thr
ee sons, who were:
1. King Duncan (Donnchad)
2. Donald (Domnall) (d.1085)
3. Malcolm (Mèl Coluim) (d. after 1094).
Ingibjörg was dead by 1070, when he wed Margaret.
He agreed on an alliance with England, sealed by his (second) marria
ge to Saint Margaret, Edgar Ætheling's sister. Margaret herself promoted t
he Roman Catholic Church in Scotland throughout Malcolm's reign. At that t
ime, Christianity did exist in Scotland in the form of the Celtic Churc
h, but varied from Roman Catholic practice in some respects e.g. the dati
ng of Easter and the shape of monks' tonsures. Malcolm had several so
ns by Margaret - these became known as the Margaretsons. Malcolm and Marga
ret's children were:
1. Prince Edward (Etbard) of Scotland, killed 1093.
2. Edmund (Etmond)
3. Ethelred, abbot of Dunkeld.
4. King Edgar (Etgair)
5. King Alexander I (Alaxandair)
6. King David I (Dabíd)
7. Edith of Scotland, also called Matilda, married King Henry I of Engl
and
8. Mary of Scotland, married Eustace III of Boulogne
Malcolm unsuccessfully tried to stop this influence by waging wars again
st the Norman kings of England after 1066. In 1072 he was forced to gi
ve an oath of subservience to William I of England. It is notable that whi
le his first wife Ingibjorg's sons all bore Gaelic names, half of Margaret
's bore Anglo-Saxon/English names and the other half standard continent
al names. At the time this was noted with displeasure amongst many in t
he Scottish court and amongst the public.
His war against William II of England in 1093 only led to the loss of Scot
tish territory to England. Malcolmdied on November of the same ye
ar in an ambush at Alnwick during a battle against William's army. His eld
est son by Margaret, Edward, also died in that ambush. Malcolm was succeed
ed by his brother Donald.
Malcolm established the Dunkeld dynasty which ruled Scotland from 1058 unt
il 1286. Four of his sons (Duncan II, Edgar, Alexander I, and David I) bec
ame kings of Scotland, whilst a fifth (Edmund) ruled as co-ruler of Scotla
nd with his uncle Donald III.

General Notes: Child - Malcolm Canmore III

General Notes: Husband - Edward Flaherty
"Edward Flaherty and Calista Cummings eloped and were married by the Justice of the Peace. His parents had the marriage annulled by the Catholic church when they brought his bride-to-be, Ellen, over from Ireland. He and Ellen went on to have Henry and Mary Ellen". [Cummings, Pg: ME014, Interview with Mary Cummings Ubry, May 23, 1987]
"Calista Cummings was born in Jonesport. The Cummings were early settlers of Township #22, later became Jonesboro, which over the years had many towns incorporated from the original tract of land. First, Jonesport, Roque Bluffs, and Beals. Her parents moved to Columbia Falls around 1870. Columbia Falls was a part of Columbia from 1796 to 1863. The early records of the town are found in Columbia.
Calista had two sons when she married Charles Hartford as his 2nd wife. Ther boys were "Abe" and "Clem". Abe lived in Harrington in a house near the railroad station. It seems reasonable to think his mother spent her last days with him." (Cummings, Pg: ME016, Letter from Clarence H. Drisko, 23 Oct 1987)
"She married Charles Hartford when Abraham was 8 years old. She was short and stout and was famous for her salmon and potatoes." (As told to me by Mary Cummings Ubry, 12 Jan 1986).
Had 11 known children with Ellen or Annie.
