Planters of the Commonwealth - Charles E. Banks - page 133:
. "John Hudson was the John Hudson, age 12, who sailed to New England in the ship Susan & Ellen in 1625 apparently with his brother, Ralph Hudson. The listing includes: Ralph Hudson, age 42, draper of Kingston-on-Hull, York; Mrs. Mary Hudson, age 42; Hannah Hudson, age 14; Elizabeth Hudson, age 5; and John Hudson, age 12, who were going to Cambridge, Massachusetts."
In 1664 John Hudson purchased about 50 acres of land in Pembroke, Massachusetts (then still part of Duxbury) from William Tubbs upon which he built his home. William Tubbs had first received a grant from the colony for 40 acres of this land on November 2, 1640 and later purchased, from William Pabodie, an additional 10 acre garden lot. John Hudson's estate was probated September 12, 1688 in Duxbury, Massachusetts. Because he had no sons, the 50 acres and home were transferred to his daughter, Hannah and her husband, Japhet Turner. The property is located north west of the intersection of Route 14 and Route 53.
DEED FROM WILLIAM TUBBS, SR, TO JOHN HUDSON:

John McCormick
LT. COL. JOHN R. MCCORMICK, 90 SYCAMORE - Lt. Col. John R. McCormick, 90, of Sycamore died Monday, Nov. 10, 2008, in Pine Acres Rehab and Living Center in DeKalb. Born Oct. 8, 1918, in DeKalb, he was the oldest of nine siblings of John J. and Mary (Jordan) McCormick. John attended St. Mary Grade School and graduated from DeKalb Township High School, Class of 1937. Married E. Phyllis Hueber of Northwest Malta, on Feb. 22, 1941. He worked for the Cortland Grain and Lumber Yard.
John volunteered for World War II Army Air Corps, reporting on Jan. 30, 1943. After his cadet training, John earned his pilot "Wings" on March 1944. John and his crew of nine, on a B-17, flew to Nuthampstead, England in the 8th Air Force. John and his crew went down near Berlin, Germany on Feb. 3, 1945, which was their 26th mission. By all logic, John's number should have been up as he was the lone survivor. After a few days in the hospital and unable to walk, John was forced to travel by rail to several different prison camps, ending up in Mooseburg Stalag VII A, just north of Munich. With no food, no heat and no blankets, the most welcomed thing was their care package from the Red Cross. On April 29, 1945, trucks and guns were heard, and that is when General George S. Patton and his Army Division liberated thousands of prisoners. It was several days before John reached Camp Lucky Strike in France, where the men were welcomed to hot showers and clean uniforms. Accidentally, John saw his cousin, Vic McMenamin, going through the same process. After 16 days on the high seas, John gained his much needed weight back and finally reached home in June of 1945. A year later John retired from active duty, but remained in the Reserves, called on to fly the National Guard to their duties. He then returned to work at the Cortland, Malta, Elva Grain Co., with Ray Katz.
In March 1951, John was recalled for the Korean conflict, stationed at the Ellsworth AFB in Rapid City, S.D. There, John was made Command Pilot on the B-36, with a crew of 22 men, flying the aircraft for seven years, then moved into the new B-52.
He spent one year in Vietnam, from 1965 to 1966. John voluntarily retired on December 30, 1969, having served faithfully and honorably with the U. S. Air Force. John and Phyllis retired in Carmichael, Calif., where John designed and built their new home. John and Phyllis traveled near and far, flying to Ireland four times, where John searched his Irish roots. After 40 years, the U.S. government released World War II data, and with that information John returned to Germany to see his crash sight, and subsequently made four more trips back to the crash site and prison camp.
In his spare time, he built several pieces of furniture, including two grandfather clocks. After 25 years in California, they moved back home in 1996.
Survived by wife, Phyllis of Sycamore; sisters, Rosann Shipman of Sycamore and Helen (Gordon) Plucker of Oregon; and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents; brothers, Bernard, Don, Malachi and Patrick; sisters, Roberta Lagermeier and Catherine Hakala; and brother-in-law, Laurie Shipman.
Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 14, 2008, in St. Mary Catholic Church in DeKalb, with Father Kenneth Anderson officiating. Burial with full military honors at Fairview Park Cemetery in DeKalb. Visitation from 1 to 3 p.m. with a wake service at 2:45 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, in the funeral home. Visitation also from 9 a.m. Friday to time of the service in the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to be established at a later date.

MARYDALE, Antigonish County
South east of Antigonish.
Formerly Manchester Road, the name was changed in 1871 to this descriptive term because of the dale lying between the branches of the Pomquet River. It was called Manchester Road because of the highway which ran to Manchester the old name for Guysborough.
The first settlers were Angus McDonald (McBride) and a native of Knoydart and Roderick Chisholm a native of Strathglass who came to clear farms when there was not a tree cut down from the Gulf Shore to Manchester Road. About 1801 they were joined by immigrants who had come to Nova Scotia on the ship Nora.
History of Antigonish Vol. 2 by Raymond A MacLean - Page 84 & 85 (5) - " Angus MacDonald (McBride)was the father of Donald, father of Angus, who was the father of the following present day desendants of the pioneer: Sam, living on the Beauly road; Duncan, on the old homestead, married to Miss MacGillivray, Springfield; Annie, married to John Chisholm; Mary, married to John MacDonald, Caledonia; Dan, Robert and Margaret."
History of Antigonish Vol. 1 by Raymond A MacLean - Page 86 - "Angus McDonald (McBride) (5), a native of Knoydart, and Roderick Chisholm (6), a native of Strathglass, two of the Nora immigrants, were the pioneers of the now fine and thriving settlement of Manchester Road. They raised smoke there, about a mile apart, in the year 1801."

John,
Sorry I did not get back to you sooner. Charles Wyman was charged
with and plead guilty to murdering Maria Huff.
Maria died 25 Oct 1903 and I found her death cert at the LDS
library in SLC. The cause of death is "gunshot wound in head - murdered
byher husband".
Family lore claims that Dad took the rap to save a not quite with
it (mentally) son. I found articles in the Piscatiquis Observer on both
5 Nov 1903 and 3 Mar 1904. These articles were found on microfilm in the
Dover Foxcroft Library. The center of the film does not have the entire
column- it appears that the binding was too tight.
In the March article it says Mr.Wyman pleaded nolo contendere to
the charge of manslaughter. He was sentenced to five years in state
prison.
The November article had more information about the actual event
but that one is the one that is hard to read. If and when I can get some
research time in Maine I would love to find the same article from
another film and perhaps it will be of better quality.
My husband is the son of Adeline Wyman (b. 1910) who was the
daughter of Danville Ledbetter Wyman (b. 1873). He was the son of
Charles. There are two Danville Ledbetters, the other was son of Henry
(b. 1832). That Danville served in the Civil War and was born 1832. You
can find some of my information about the Wymans on ancestry.com if you
search for Charles Wyman. That is where I found you.
Please let me know how you are related so I can add your links to
my file. I can send you a gedcom file if you can use that. I would love
to know how you are related to my Jerre.
Talk to you soon.

The best way for me to describe the relationship, is for
example if you have 6,000 people in your data base
that are connected via interlocking marriges, and
you find that you have a marriage that is interlocked into
one of my people in my data base, then they are related
via interlocking marriages, does not matter how distant.
The difference here is that the interlocking into my data
base would link to over 724,091 people via interlocking
marriages.
My hobby is working on interlocking marriages,to any
family surname that is in my data, and I exchange with
people to find them, and to assist them in finding lineage
that link into their families.
