Louis P. Ouellette Sr.
Millinocket - Surrounded by his beloved family, Louis P. Ouellette Sr., died at his home on Nov. 24,1999, of advanced cancer. He was born in St. Agatha, July 16, 1930. the son of Joseph B. and Yvonne (Collins) Ouellette.
His birth mother died when he was 1 1/2 years old; when he was five, his father married Sadie (Cyr) Ouellette and the family settled in Millinocket, where he lived all his life. He graduated from Stearns High School in 1949. Louie was a member of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, where he was a faithful Eucharistic Minister and member of the choir. He served in the Army National Guard for 18 1/2 years. He was employed with Bangor Hydro-Electric Co. for 43 years, retiring in 1992. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, B.P.O.E. Lodge No. 1521 and Hillcrest Golf Club. Louie enjoyed his life to the fullest, playing golf with his buddies, cards at the K of C hall and dancing his legs off! Now, heaven resounds with his boisterous laughter. He was sunshine in the lives of his family.
Louie is survived by his honey, Joynce (McKinnon) Ouellette; his five adoring children, Karen and her husband, David Nutting of Lewiston, Sheila and her husband, Robert MacKenzie of Millinocket, Mary K. of Millinocket, Louis Jr. and his wife Brenda of Yorktown, Va. and Lisa Ouellette of Brewer; his grandchildren who where the light of his life, Kristina, Michael, and Daniel MacKenzie of Millinocket, Travis, Brandon, and Brittany Ouellette of Yorktown, Va.; two special step-grandchildren, Kim and Kyle Nutting of Oxford; other beloved family members including two brothers, Ralph Ouellette of Harrisburg, PA., Lucien and Sandy Ouellette of Manchester, Conn.; one sister, Lucille and Mike Sirois of Kensington, Conn.; sister-in-law, Betty Tompkins of Vernon, Conn. and Patricia and Bill Sanford of Gloucester, Va.; brother-in-law, Richard and Patty McKinnon of East Millinocket; special aunts, Alphene Ouellette and Pauline George of Millinocket; special cousins, Ann and Ernie Santerre of Millinocket; also several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends who already miss him. He was pre-deceased by his parents; a sister Evelyn Thorndike, brother-in-law Ray Tompkins, sister-in-law, Fran Ouellette; a nephew, Steven Tompkins; and a niece, Kimberly Miroon.

She was born in Millinocket September 18, 1939, the daughter of Vincent and Vera (Berry) Whirty. She was a graduate of Stearns High School Class of 1957. While residing in the Millinocket area, Bobbi worked at various places as an accountant and bookkeeper. She was a member of Calvary Temple Assembly of God Church in East Millinocket where she was very active in various church ministries. She was very fond of her poodles and thoroughly enjoyed her home in Florida. Most of all, Bobbi was a special wife, mom, and mammie. Bobbi is survived by her beloved husband of 45 years, Dean, of Medway, and two daughters, Cathy McLaughlin of Hamptonville, North Carolina and Laura and husband Terry McLaughlin of Woodville. Bobbi has five grandchildren; Justin Dishon of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, Ethan, Zach, Abby, and Ryan McLaughlin all of Woodville. She is also survived by six brothers and sisters; Dorothy Grinstead of Arcadia, Indiana, Betty Budreau, Jean Plourde, and Bryant Whirty all of Millinocket, and Clyde Whirty of Canton, Connecticut, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by a brother, Harold Whirty. Friends may call at R. L. Bouchard Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Sunday, April 3, 2005. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Monday, April 4, 2005 at Calvary Temple Assembly of God Church, 2 Orchard St., East Millinocket with Pastor Regginal Adams officiating.
