"James and Sarah lived in Weymouth, but may have also resided or owned property at times in Scituate and Boston. He operated a tide mill in Weymouth, known as "Nash's grist mill," located on Mill Cove on the east side of the Fore River. He operated a sloop that ran between Boston, Weymouth, and neighboring towns. James was a freeman in 1665, and town constable in 1685.89"

Dr. David T. Nash
Well-known Dr. of Henry and Clayton Counties educated at the University of Louisville,and at Vanderbilt University where he specialized. Practiced for more than fifty years. Leader in community affairs and one of the most prominent members of the County Line Congregational Church (Methodist). He was not married. Particularly interested in the church and in theschools near his home. 81 years old. Survived by his sister Mrs.L.C.Butler of Lovejoy, 13 nieces,14 nephews and nearly 100 grandnieces and nephews.

Nash Family Reunion.
The annual reunion of the Nash family,descendants of Rev. Thompson E. Nash,was held Wed.at the home of Dr.David T. Nash near Lovejoy,Ga.which is the ancestral home of the family.
The assembly was held at Spout Spring,an old fountain located on the plantation,in deference to the custom of the former ocassions. A mid-day picnic was followed by a barbecue and a watermelon cutting was held later in the afternoon.

ELAINE E. NASON
Millinocket - Elaine E. Nason, 81, wife of the late Frederick D. Nason, passed away peacefully, in Millinocket, on Saturday, October 30, 2004. She was born in East Millinocket on July 9, 1923, the daughter of Percy W. and Lottie M. (Vance) Nisbett. Elaine, affectionately known as `Lainey` by friends and family, lived in the Katahdin area all of her life. In her early years, Lainey worked at Pat`s Diner, Moscone`s (`Pee Wee`s) Market, and the Coffee Shop. Many of Lainey`s acquaintances will remember her from her days at Millinocket Trust Company, later Fleet Bank, where she worked for 21 years retiring in 1983. Lainey was a wonderful cook and enjoyed cooking for her family. She loved to play cards, knit, and crochet. She will be remembered for her warm smile and generosity. She is survived by one daughter, Elizabeth `Bett` and husband, John Fraser of Millinocket; two sons, Drew and wife Julie Nason of Millinocket, David and wife Sarah Nason of Chesapeake, Virginia; eight grandchildren; Charles and Rhonda Fraser of Newburgh, Peter Nason of Newton, New Hampshire, Mark and Allison Nason of Hampton, New Hampshire, David and Sparkle Nason and Shawn Nason Norfolk, Virginia, Alaina Nason of Bangor, Katherine and Janessa Nason of Millinocket; six great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Cara Fraser of Pittsfield, Tabitha and Alexander Nason of Hampton, New Hampshire, and Life and Lyric Nason of Norfolk, Virginia; one sister, June and husband Paul Baker of East Millinocket; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one son, F. Donald Nason, Jr., one grandson, John Fraser, III, one brother, Wesley, fours sister, Leah, Etta, Laura, and Marjorie. Friends may call at R. L. Bouchard from 2-4 and 6-8 Tuesday, November 2. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, November 3, 2004 at the funeral home with The Rev. Carolyn Bradley, pastor of the First Congregational Church of Millinocket officiating. Burial will be in Millinocket Cemetery.
