[186, Deacon Samuel Pratt] son of Lemuel and Lydia (Willard) Pratt, who were m. Nov. 23, 1750. (There is also a Ch[urch]. Rec[ord]. of this marriage but the leaf is torn.)
On March 11, 1765, "Ens[ig]n Lemuel Pratt Was Chosen to See the Observation of the law Relating to ye Catching of Fish."
On March 15, 1771, Cap[tai]n Lemuel Pratt was chosen one of a committee of three to "take a Plann of the Town," and August 31, 1774, he was elected to attend the county con-[p. 85]vention. (See Capt. Caleb Kingsbury, p. 39.) [p. 39 On August 31,1774, he was chosen "To attend a County Convention at the House of Mr. Woodward Inholder in Dedham on Tuesday the Sixth Day of September Next at Ten O'Clock before Noon, To Deliberate and Determine Upon all matters as the Distressed Circumstances of this Province May Require."] Capt. Lemuel was moderator of the first meeting to organize the West Precinct, January 19, 1775.

General Notes: Child - Anna D. McKeon
East Millinocket - Anna D. (McKeon) Tanous, 75, was called home to the Lord with her smiling, blue Irish-eyes on Saturday August 25, 2007 surrounded by her family at Millinocket Regional Hospital. Anna lived a long, very blessed life with her husband Wakine Tanous Sr. and her seven children. She was born the youngest of nine children on February 2, 1932 in Portland, Maine to Isabella (Leonard) McKeon and Bernard McKeon. She graduated from Portland High School and went on to work in the Portland area at the Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company and Mercy Hospital; she then met Wakine G. Tanous, who was a Portland Law School student. They were married on February 5, 1955 and soon relocated to East Millinocket were they raised their seven loving children. Anna was an active member of the East Millinocket community where she was a life-long communicant of St. Peters Parish, a member of the Daughters of Isabella, St. Ann's Circle, and the local Sorority as well as being a Den Mother for Cub Scouts. She was also a member of the local Pitch Club, the Millinocket Players, and had completed a CNA course and worked as an in-home health aide for several years. She spent 47 wonderful summers at Cold Stream Pond in Enfield, Maine with family and friends and the past 12 winters at St. Augustine Beach, Florida where she made many new friendships. Anna had a love of people, baking, cooking, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, theater, musicals, and old movies. She was a voracious reader. She enjoyed traveling which included visiting many parts of the world, as well as listening to her Irish Music. Most of all she loved her husband, her children and her grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents and sisters, Theresa Manette, Mary Lamauro, Agnes Valeriani and her husband Harry. Brothers Paul McKeon and his wife Vivian, and Thomas McKeon. Also her Sisters-in-law Camilla McKeon and Evangeline Tanous and Brothers-in-law Alexander Tanous, Nolan Tanous, Nagel Tanous, David Tanous and Charles Tanous. She is survived by her husband of 52 years Wakine G. Tanous, her children Gregory Tanous and his companion Sharon Pelletier of Millinocket, Arlene Tanous-McCracken and her husband Lance of South Portland, Theresa Rodriguez and her husband Ray of Skowhegan, Nolan Tanous and his wife Carol of East Millinocket, Alice Kelley and her husband Joe of South Portland, Wakine Tanous Jr. of East Millinocket and Peter Tanous and his wife Deborah of Gorham. Her beloved grandchildren, Sara Boutaugh, Nicole Tanous, Nicholas Tanous, Chris Rodriguez, Alex Rodriguez, Taryn McCracken, Haley McCracken, Eric Kelley, Casey Kelley, Taylor Tanous, Derrick Tanous, Natalie Tanous, Thomas Petty, Matthew Petty and Grace Petty. She is also survived by her sister Ella McKeon of South Portland, brothers Joe McKeon of Portland and Ed McKeon and his wife Carol of Hampden, brothers-in-law Joe Tanous of Hingham, MA, Thomas Tanous and his wife Esther of Wenham, MA and sisters-in-law Cynthia Tanous of North Turner and Marcia Farr of Portland as well as many loving nieces, nephews, god children, and many dear friends.

MILLINOCKET – Wallace A. "Wally" Tapley Sr., 77, died peacefully at his home, June 28, 2004, after a long illness. He was born Sept. 12, 1926, in Millinocket, the son of Edward and Cecilia (LePage) Tapley. Wally was a U.S. Navy World War II veteran and a member of the Post No. 80 American Legion and Post No. 4154 VFW. He was also a communicant of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church and a 3rd Degree member of St. Martin of Tours Knights of Columbus. He worked for 36 years for Great Northern Paper Company, retiring in 1987. Wally was an excellent cook and was known for the meals he prepared for many of the church functions, especially the Lenten Breakfasts. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Irene M. (Santerre) Tapley of Millinocket; one son, Wallace "Wally" Jr. and wife, Dianne Tapley, of Millinocket; six daughters, Louise and husband, Ronald Tinkham Sr., of Millinocket, Julie and husband, Robert MacKenzie, of Florida, Rhonda and husband, Galen Cyr, of Millinocket, Cheryl and husband, Michael Jewers, of Millinocket, Maryann and husband, Daniel Rideout, of Medway, and Shelley Tapley and fianc?, Jeff Carver, of Bangor; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; seven brothers, Lester Tapley of Woodville, Ralph Tapley of East Millinocket, Edward "Junior" Tapley of Millinocket, James Mason of Millinocket, Stanley Mason of Millinocket, Paul Mason of North Carolina; three sisters, Carolee Brackett of Mattawamkeag, Shirley Lyle of North Carolina, Dolly Richards of Mattawamkeag; one aunt, Marguerite Hutchinson of Millinocket; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; his stepmother, Verbena Tapley; one sister, Olivine Malone; and one brother, Richard Tapley. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 30, 2004, at R. L. He was born July 16, 1944, in Millinocket, the son of James and Cecelia (LePage) Mason. Stanley was educated in Millinocket schools, graduating from Stearns High School, Class of 1964. He served in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1968, and then returned to Millinocket, where he worked at Great Northern Paper Company, as a papermaker, retiring in 1999. Stanley enjoyed being outdoors, whether it be fishing, hunting, blueberrying, potato picking, four wheeling, or any other activity, so long as it involved being in the outdoors. He was also very actively involved in Boy Scouts, Troop No. 58 in Millinocket with his son, Jeff. Stanley was also a volunteer at I Care Ministries in Millinocket, spending many hours each week there helping out in all areas of service. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 80 and VFW Post No. 4154 in Millinocket. Stanley will long be remembered as a loving husband, devoted father, brother, uncle and friend. Stanley is survived by his wife of 20 years, Kelly (Raymond) Mason of Millinocket; four children: Stanley B. Mason Jr. and his wife, Alison, of Portland, Wade Mason and his wife, Mel, of Orrington, Amy Jo Mason of Orono and Jeffrey Mason of Millinocket, who was also Stanley's "best buddy;" two brothers: James Mason and wife, Betty, of Millinocket and Paul Mason and wife, Pat, of North Carolina; a sister, Shirley Lyle of North Carolina; three grandchildren: Hayley Mason of Houlton, Wade Mason Jr. of Hampden and Owen Mason of Portland; half brothers, Ralph Tapley of Millinocket, Lester "Huck" Tapley of Woodville and Merle "Sonny" Tapley of Bangor; his mother and father-in-law, Lester and Sandra Raymond of Medway; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, Stanley was predeceased by a half sister, Olivine Malone; a half brother, Wallace Tapley; and a very special aunt, Marguerite Hutchinson. Friends are invited to visit with the family between the hours of 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Bouchard-Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack Street, Millinocket, where funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 11, with the Rev. Hershel Hafford officiating, with military honors after the service. Spring interment will be at Millinocket Cemetery.
