bookkeeper for years, and later he purchased the store. In 1910 census of
Island Falls, his mother Mary and brother ('boarder') Eldon Pomeroy were living
with him. Fred is 34, single, salesman in general store, and rents a house.
His mother, Mary, is 62, widowed, had 8 children, of whom 5 were living, and
came to the U.S. in 1853. Eldon was 28, married (!) for 4 years, and was a
salesman in a general store. Fred was a member of the Island Falls Lodge of
Free and Accepted Masons, No. 206; and was W.M. of lodge in 1918-1919.
