According to Robert Anderson's database, there was an Adam True Mansfield born in Rockport, Knox Co., Maine on 9 Apr 1862, the son of James Edward Mansfield (RIN 10150) & Mary Cleaves. There is no Adam or True Mansfield listed in any of the census for James & Mary. Therefore, I think that Anderson's source was in error. James' brother, William had a son named Adams True who was the same age and is almost certainly the same person.

was a member of the Quakers.
Some of Abraham's descendants settled in Chatham County, where many of Yadkin's old Quaker families came from. The Farringtons were big landowners southeast of Chapel Hill. Some of their land is now covered by Lake Jordan. An eighteenth century National Register House owned by the Farringtons sitll stands near the lake. Clarence Poe,of Chatham County, long-time editor of the "ProgressiveFarmer", writes of his Farrington relatives in his biography. The name is sometimes spelled Fearrington or Tharrington and , curiously, some of the family spelled it Thornton or some variation thereof. In an article by Frances Casstevens in "The Heritage of Ladkin County" , the Farringtons are connected with such prominent Quaker families as Starbuck and Hinshaw and other well-known North Carolina families such as Cotten, Love and Haynes.
