According to the Knowles Family Genealogy, Nathaniel was a farmer, a
millwright, and owned a sawmill in Corinna. He was a Democrat and
Universalist. He also served as a musician in the War of 1812 and played
Clarinet. His wives are buried in the Corinna Village Cemetery.

Joseph Dunham was born on 18 November 1637 at Plymouth, Plymouth County, Massachusetts, a twin.
He was the son of Deacon John Dunham and Abigail Balliou.
On 18 Nov 1657 at Plymouth, Plymouth County, Massachusetts, Joseph married Mercy Morton, daughter of Secretary Nathaniel Morton and Lydia Cooper.
Joseph took the Oath of Fidelity in 1658.
On 20 August 1669 at Plymouth, Plymouth County, Massachusetts, Joseph married Hester Wormall, daughter of Joseph Wormall and Miriam (?).
Joseph Dunham left a will on 9 March 1702/3 at Plymouth, Plymouth County, Massachusetts.
He died before 16 June 1703 at Plymouth, Plymouth County, Massachusetts.
His estate was probated on 16 June 1703.

General Notes: Child - Samuel Dunham
Samuel was quite a character. He was a juryman between 1657 and 1672. He was appointed a deputy 3 Jun 1668, succeeding his father, who had held that position for many years. He was sworn in as constable 3 Jun 1674. On 1 Jun 1675, he was made surveyor of highways. Then, in December 1681, he was excommunicated from the church for a period of two years 'for being an old drunkard,' according to Reverend John Cotton. He was fined in 1682 for drunkenness. However, he was re-admitted in 1683. Stubborn old man, Samuel was accused of violating one of the Ten Commandments, for having said, 'the curse of God is upon your head and pluck,' among other inflammatory statements. He was re-admitted again in 1690.

Page 124-5 Name: Thomas Wadsworth Location: Hartford Will dated 11 August, 1725: I, Thomas Wadsworth of Hartford, do make this my last will and testament: I give to my daughter Sarah Burr, for the love and respect I bear to her, 10 acres of land lying westward of Brick Hill Bridge, formerly belonging to Edward Cadwell, west and south upon common highway, north upon John Barnard, east upon Thomas Cadwell, which I give to her forever. To my daughter Elizabeth Wadsworth, 6 acres of land lying upon the hill by Nathaniel and Thomas Andrews' lands where they now dwell, butting southwardly upon their lands, westwardly upon my own land, northwardly upon the highway. And also I give her, for her comfortable subsistence, one dwelling room in my house in part with her brother John Wadsworth, which is the southerly lower room, which I give to her only during her natural life, and 1 square rod of ground in my garden for her free use and improvement during her life. I give to my grandson Thomas Wadsworth 10 shillings.
