Per the History of Salisbury, Joseph settleld in Hill, NH then removed west. The History of Bow says they had a large family. In 1850 he and his family appear in the Hill Census. The pension papers say that he lived in Hill in 1851, Danbury VT in 1855, and Lyons MN in 1880. He began military service on 20 Sep 1814 in Salisbury, Merrimack, NH; served in the War of 1812 in Call's Company, NH Militia. He ended military service on 20 Nov 1814 in Portsmouth, Rockingham, NH. He lived on 4 Apr 1855 in Danby, Rutland, VT. He was granted a military pension of eight dollars per month on 31 May 1880 in Chandler, Lyon MN. On April 16, 1634 William FIFIELD took the oath of Allegiance before embarking for America on the ship Hercules of London. On arriving in New England, he lived a time at Ipswich, then Newbury finally settling in 1639 at Hampton, N.H., where he became a freeman June 2, 1641.
William served on the jury 1651, 62, 67, 69, 77, 78; was constable in 62 and selectman in 1652 and 1659. His name appears often in the court records as attorney for others, and his signature is attached to many of the early documents of the town.
As per The American Genealogist V.15, July 1938 page 218
William immigrated from London on the Ship Hercules, John Kiddey, Master, which left London March 24, 1634 and Southhampton April 18 with 12 passengers. It landed Ipswich MA in April. He became one of the original settlers of Hampton, NH in 1638 and died there in 1700 at over 80 years of age. Records indicate that he had the confidence of his townspeople and other tories in settlement of affairs in dispute. He acted as Attorney, Constable and Sheriff in cases of record.
He lived in Hampton, Rockingham, NH. He was made a freeman on 2 Jun 1641 in Hampton, Rockingham, NH.

Benjamin Fifield, born about 1648 (aged about 52 in 1700). He settled in Hampton Falls. He served on juries 1679, '83, '93; constable '98, '99; selectman '87; representative '97; clerk of company '99. He was killed by Indians 1 Aug 1706 " and a lad his kinsman carried away." (This record may refer to Stephen Fifield, son of William Fifield b. Feb 1, 1651/52.) Adminstration was granted on Benjamin's estate 3 Sept. 1706 to his youngest son, Jonathan. He married 28 Dec 1670, Mary Colcord, who died in Hampton Falls 23 Nov. 1741, aged 93. She was the daughter of Edward Colcord and Ann Wadd of Dover.

The Kingston Saw Mill Benjamin Sr's property is left in eight shares, one of which goes to Daniel Bean. (as per The American Genealogist; v.15, July 1938, page 222)
Benjamin was ambushed by Indians in back of his home when starting for church on a Sunday and killed, aged 60 years. A man of note who served several terms as Provincial Representative to the Legislative Assembly, he belonged to the Militia.

Lived a while at East Kingston (as per The American Genealogist v.19, page 101)
William settled in East Kingston until 1775. Hillsboro Co. deeds show that William of East Kingston purchased 100 acres in Salisbury for $454 recorded 30 Sep 1784.
Probate records show that a William died intestate in Salisbury in 1785, leaving a widow Anna. Salisbury town records show that Anna Fifield moved to Poultney, VT. This tends to confirm East Kingston church record recordings at NH Historical Society showing Samuel baptized in 1770 as William's son. Further confirmation is in an additions and corrections to the history of Andover document at New Hampshire Historical Society, which says Edward, son of William spent time in Poultney and several of his children were born there.

Edward was reported to have been a Captain in the Revolutionary War at age 23. At age 20 he served in Captain Phillip Tilton's co. Colonel Enoch Poor's Regiment. His pension record says that he was at the Battle of Bunker Hill between 1775 and 1776. He was warned out of Cornwall, Addison,VT 24 Dec 1804. After his marriage Deacon Amos moved to Danbury and lived there until 1832 when his father's health failed. Wife Judith refused administration and on June 29, 1836 she and her husband Samuel Locke acknowledged receipt of $218.22 as her dower from her late husband. The three children got 2/3 of the estate and were placed under guardianship of various people, starting with George W, Nesmith. Their portion of the estate was declared inslovent in 1837.
