General Notes: Child - Walter Roberts
I exchange data with people who have a interlocking marriage
into any surnames that interlocks into any of the branches
of my families.I started when I was 10 years old now 68years.
I am sharing my data in the interest of collaborative research.
I do this to help people to find there lineages and to fill
the pedigree charts.
I have not personally researched all families listed; dates
and information are subject to verification. Not responsible
for typographical errors misplaced citations. Missing
sources/references are because of my learning curve, not my
intention. You are encouraged to seek further documention
for your own confirmation.Further I have no control what
other people include about their families in any of the
data that they exchange.
If there are no dates about the living, then the computers
can not determine if the person is alive or deceased.
The sites set the living anywhere from 75 to 100 years
depending on the laws of the countries that they are in.
When I exchange with lineages the living are sometime shown
depending on who you are exchanging with, but my
request is that,if you update any of my data to the
internet, you also set the do not show the living, before
you update to the internet.
Also place in the source your contact email
address, and the lineage, so people can contact you
reqarding your update.
I have no claim to owning the data, except that which is
my immediate lineage, and even that is worked on by many
members of my family lineages. It is only as good as what
people put into it,that exchange with me. So look
in the notes of the genealogy for origin, if they put it
there,or the source.
If you are going to correct, update or put new branches on the
lineage your are inquirying about, please do not add from what
I have sent you,(This just duplicates how many more people
I have to find in the duplicates and merge them, edit your
notes to ensure that there is nothing there that you do not
want published.
Also do not submit information on copyrights that invades the
privacy of others especially for a relative that has not given
you permission to publish same.
Remember nothing is carved in stone except time.
The best way for me to describe the relationship, is for
example if you have 6,000 people in your data base
that are connected via interlocking marriages, and
you find that you have a marriage that is interlocked into
one of my people in my data base, then they are related
via interlocking marriages, does not matter how distant.
The difference here is that the interlocking into my data
base would link to over 631,749 people via interlocking
marriages.
My hobby is working on interlocking marriages,to any
family surname that is in my data, and I exchange with
people to find them, and to assist them in finding lineage
that link into their families.

General Notes: Child - Thomas Roberts Jr.

If you would like your name and those of your living descendants to appear in this Family Tree, please let me know, and I'll try to include them on my next upload. Bare in mind that this is a hobby for me which I do take it serious, however, it is still a hobby. It is also a work in progress, and thus, subject to mistakes and errors, whether by typos or the data from other sources which may also be in error. Please contact me with any correction either via e-mail or in the "Post-em" notes for that individual at Roots.
Thanks,

JAMO, Marjorie Markie ("Marge") Marjorie Markie ("Marge") Jamo, 84, of East Hartford, died Friday, (March 9, 2007), at Johnson Memorial Medical Center, following a lengthy illness. Born Jan. 9, 1923, in Sherman Station, Maine, Marge was the daughter of the late Francis and Leona (King) Markie. Marge was a 1940 graduate of Medway (Maine) High School, where she played interscholastic basketball. Shortly after graduating from high school, Marge moved to New York City for a brief period. Following her marriage to Christo Dimetrios Jamo of Millinocket, Maine, on June 24, 1944, the couple settled in East Hartford, where they raised their four children, and where she was a communicant of St. Isaac Jogues Church. Christo died in 1973. When her children were young, Marge was active in organizations connected to young people, including the Boy and Girl Scouts, serving as a troop leader. She rooted for all the teams on which her children played. She was employed as a precision welder at Pratt and Whitney Aircraft for 31 years, retiring in 1992. Marge pursued a number of interests and hobbies with great enthusiasm. She loved to sew, particularly quilts, and made numerous quilts as gifts for family members and friends. Her quilts warm babies in Singapore, Germany, and England. She was an avid gardener who was especially talented at growing roses, and she enjoyed making ceramics. She was a history buff who loved to read books and view films about the World War II era, and to visit historically oriented museums and sites throughout the United States. She also loved to travel, and camped throughout the United States. In addition, she went to Europe several times, and also visited the Mediterranean, Russia, Singapore, Australia, and the Middle East. She adored animals and was always in the company of her beloved pets, which included an assortment of pug dogs, cats, and at one point, a skunk. Perhaps her greatest passion over the past decade was the UConn Women's Basketball team, which she followed avidly. Always willing to engage in discussions about the team, its coach, and its game performances, she would videotape televised games to share with long-distance friends and relatives. Marge adored her family and spent much of her retirement years with each of her four children, all of whom survive her. They are sons Dimetrois C. Jamo and his wife, Sherrill, of Joplin, Mo., Ronald F. Jamo and his wife, Margaret, of Hollis, Me., Patric A. Jamo and his wife, Kathie, of Stafford Springs, and daughter, Andrea J. Wise of Saratoga Springs, N.Y.; as well as Mary Ellen Hable of Miramar Beach, FL., whom she treated like a daughter. She always drove a large station wagon with the license plate "Ma Jamo" and was known as Ma to many people. Survivors also include four grandchildren, Dimetrois C. Jamo, Jr., and his wife, Joana Jamo, Allyson Jamo and her partner, Joseph Cohen, Heather Jamo and Abigail Wise; and two great-grandchildren, Christo Jamo and Layla Rose Cohen. Four siblings also survive Marge, Leola Pertl of Casselberry, FL., Jeanette Jordan of Whitefield, N.H., Robert Markie of Evergreen, CO. and Richard Markie of Phoenixville, PA; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Calling hours are scheduled from 4-7 p.m. Sunday, March 11, at D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 30 Carter St., East Hartford, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, March 12, at St. Isaac Jogues Roman Catholic Church, 1 Community St., East Hartford, CT. Interment will be in Millinocket, Maine, where Marge will be with her husband. Memorial contributions in Marge's name may be made to the Connecticut Humane Society, 701 Russell Road, Newington, CT. 06111, or to the animal shelter of one's choice. The family wishes to express deep appreciation to the medical and nursing staffs of Manchester Memorial Hospital and its AMU unit, as well as to the Johnson Memorial Medical Center in Stafford Springs, CT., and for its loving and dedicated care of Marge during her final days. Special thanks are also due to Home & Community Health Services Inc., the hospice team at Johnson Memorial, for its compassionate care.
