(from Marston - Thurston Genealogy. See pages 172-173 Marston Genealogy)
Levi Marston, Private, - Captain John Gray's Company, Colonel Johnathan Mitchell's Regiment, enlisted July 7, 1779 - discharged Sept 12, 1779, service two months, 6 days, on Penobscott Expedition. Roll, dated North Yarmouth and sworn to, in Cumberlin County, Me.
While there were others of the Marston family who served their contry during the Revolution, Levi Marston was only sixteen when he enlisted, which indicates the distress of a country which required boys of that age to shoulder arms. For reasons of his age at enlistment, his name was honored in procuring a membership to the Sons of the American Revolution by his descendent Chas. M. Berg, and is considered that others should also do homage by using his name for the same purpose.'

Hi cousin,
What a pleasant surprise to find the family tree of Samuel H. Richardson
online @ ancestry.com . I thoroughly enjoyed reading your data about
marriages, children, occupations and immigration from England. What a lot
of work you must have done! My husband is part of this family. If you're
interested, I can add at least one offspring to your list. You list
Caroline Marston and Samuel H. Richardson as having "8 unknown
offspring." One of them was James Marston Richardson, my husband's great
grandfather. born: 20 Jan 1851 Readfield, Maine. Died 20 October _____,
Kansas City, Mo. Married 20 Dec. 1888 to Maude Helt. (can get you details
about her if you like.) Their son, James Marston Richardson II, born 6
June, 1896 in Kansas City, Mo. Died 14 Feb, 1939, Stuart,Florida. I have
some family stories about him.
Looking for family,

The Marstons have been numerous in Hampton, and prominent in both civil and military affairs. William (1) was there in 1640, within two years of the first settlement. He brought with him from England his two sons Thomas and William. Thomas (1615-90) settled opposite the northeast corner of the Meetinghouse Green. This lot has remained in the family, being owned in 1892 by Jeremiah Marston. He married Mary, daughter of William Eastow. Their son Ephraim (1655-1742) married Abial, daughter of John Sanborn, who was a grandson of Rev. Stephen Bachiler, the founder of Hampton. This Ephraim was a brewer.
The people of Hampton by vote granted him permission to set his malt-house on the Meetinghouse Green and keep it there as long as he would brew for them. It was not very near the church, the Green being a tract of several acres. He seems to have been a man of strong convictions. His daughter Abial marrying contrary to his wishes, he disowned her and gave her name to another daughter born soon afterwards. A reconciliation eventually took place, and two generations later a granddaughter of hers married a grandson of one of her brothers. This Ephraim had a son Simon (1683-1735) whose wife's name was Hannah, of unknown family. They lived in North Hampton. They had a son Captain Daniel Marston (1708-57), who led a sea-faring life and took part in the French and Indian War. He married Sarah Clough, daughter of Samuel Clough of Salisbury, Mass., and Sarah, daughter of Henry Robie of Hampton, N. H. They lived in North Hampton on the road from Dow's Hill to Rye, and were the parents of Miriam, who married Jonathan Towle.

3rd child -- first son of Ephriam, was born in Hampton, NH., Dec 17, 1680; Married Bethiah Tuck, Nov 4, 1703, daughter of Deacon John and Bethia HobbsTuck, and settled in Hampton, NH., though it appears that he moved to Falmouth, Maine for a while, for he had a grant of 36 acres of land from said town, dated Oct. 31, 1729; but he was living in Hampton in 1746 and 1752, by his deeds to his son Benjamin. They had five living children. (Records show that there were two others born, 1716 and 1719, but no names, so think they died in infancy).

Charles Gould Perham 1915.10.02
The life of Charles Perham, son of Mrs. C. G. Perham of this city was crashed out last Friday night (October 8, 1915) at half past ten o'clock while he was attending to his work for the Wells Fargo Express Co. at the Polk Street Station in Chicago. He was conscious when picked up and his story of how they accident happened was told to a fellow employee and repeated before the corner's inquest.
Mr. Perham had just unloaded his truck and was standing beside it when another employee had unloaded his truck at a train on another track and neglected to move it. The train started and the steps of the first coach caught the truck and hurled it to one side in the direction of Mr. Perham and he was caught between the truck and the Express car into which he had unloaded from his truck.
He was taken to the Mercy Hospital. He realized his condition and that he could not live and asked that his mother and sister be sent for.
The body was brought to Sandwich Monday evening and taken to the home of his mother on Somonauk Street.
Charles Gould Perham was born at Mendota, September 26, 1876. At the age of two years his parents moved to Hastings, NE, which was his home until 1894 when the family came to Sandwich. He passed through grade school here and graduated from the high school with the class of 1896. He taught school for four years and in 1900 entered the employee of the Continental National Bank, Chicago. He remained with the bank for several years, until failing health made it necessary to take a residence in the west.
About two years ago his health having been restored he returned and was engaged in the rural mail service. A few months ago he with many others were temporarily laid off and he was working for the Wells Fargo Express Co. when he met with the accident that resulted in his death.
He was married to Miss Nellie Bates of Geneva, IL, in September 1902. He leaves a daughter, Gladys Edith, twelve years of age. A daughter, Violet Evelyn died at the age of six months. He is survived also by his mother and one sister, Miss Mary Perham, both of this city.
Mr. Perham was a man of excellent character, faithful in the work committed to him and highly esteemed by his many friends and acquaintances. He united with the Congregational Church in Sandwich in 1897 and remained a faithful member so long and he remained in the city.
The funeral service was held in the Congregational Church Tuesday afternoon, conducted by Dr. J. M. Lewis. The burial took place at Oak Ridge Cemetery. (Note - Sandwich, IL)

Taken from Marston Genealogy, compiled from book by N. W. Marston - 1888
According to "Genealogical Dictionary of Maine and New Hamphire" (1939), pg. 791 --quoting C. H. Batchelder, Isaac lived in North Hampton, N.H., as later did his son, Caleb and 4 subsequent generations.
From work of Richard Andrew Linehan, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma -- and Dorothy Maxine (Marston) Moore of Lamont, Okla -- in 1958. Material gathered from old letters, newpaper clippings, correspndence with the National Archives and Records Service of the government in Washington, D.C.; court records in the States of Kansas, Oklahoma, Maine and Missouri, letters from living decendants, and personal recollections of later descendants of the same families. (Isaac and Elizabeth (Brown) Marston are 6th great grandparents)
Was born in Hampton about the year 1647 and died during the year of 1714; during which year he deeded prior to his death land and buildings to his son Thomas. He was made Freeman April 26th, 1678 and was Selectman in 1681. His farm was on North Hill (now of North Hampton) and was as late as 1888 occupied by David Simon Marston who is one of the sixth generation of this name who have owned and lived on the property.
On the 19th day of April, 1697, nearing his fifthieth birthday, he married for the second time, Mrs. Jane (Brackett) Haines, widow of Matthias Haines, Sr. (no children were listed)

Both Dow and Nathan W. Marston, compiler of "The Marston Genealogy," (at pg. 161) were unable to state with certainty that Dinah was a daughter of Lt. John and Mary (Tuck) Marston. Nathan Marston thought she 'probably was, Sanborn shows her as John and Mary's 9th child and 5th daughter out of 12 children. "Genealogical Dictionary of Maine and New Hamphshire, "(1939) , believe, again without certainty, that she was either the daughter of John's brother, Stephen or William. She is listed there under Stephen.

4th child, Second son, of John Marston & Bethia (Tuck) Marston -was born July 24, 1713 in Hampton, N.H.; He married Suzanna (Susanna) Blake, June 23, 1736, of Hampton. He and John Blake purchased a large tract of land for #940, Jan 13, 1740, Falmouth, Maine, in the locality known as Blackstrap Hill, his half of which he subsequently sold to his sons.
He moved to Falmouth after said purchase, and prior to June 9, 1742, when he bought a 36 acre lot of James Bane (the same Susanna (Marston) sold to Jasper (Marston) in 1773). He bought another 36 acre lot on Presumpscot River in Falmouth Dec 16, 1742, as also a lot of upland on Falmouth Neck, (now city of Portland, Maine). He was deputy sheriff at this date. He built a two story house at Portland, and kept a tavern there untill his decease, between Oct. 1769 and Oct. 1770. His widow then kept said tavern till 1774; then Brackett Marston, their son, kept it till 1781; then Daniel, his brother, kept it in 1782; This house was on the site now occupied by J. O. Hayes' hat store, and was moved across the street in 1833 to make room for the present substantial block of buildings. It was a very famous house in those days, and in it Captain Mowatt was kept a prisoner after his capture on Munjoy Hill (by Colonel Thompson), in June, 1775. This house is in a state of good preservation at the present time (1886). This John was the Patriarch of the Cumberland County Marstons. He was in his 57th year at his decease. He left a will, but the record thereof was destroyed by the great fire of 1866. He had nine or ten children:-

I exchange data with people who have a interlocking marriage
into any surnames that interlocks into any of the branches
of my families.I started when I was 10 years old now 68years.
I am sharing my data in the interest of collaborative research.
I do this to help people to find there lineages and to fill
the pedigree charts.
I have not personally researched all families listed; dates
and information are subject to verification. Not responsible
for typographical errors misplaced citations. Missing
sources/references are because of my learning curve, not my
intention. You are encouraged to seek further documention
for your own confirmation.Further I have no control what
other people include about their families in any of the
data that they exchange.
If there are no dates about the living, then the computers
can not determine if the person is alive or deceased.
The sites set the living anywhere from 75 to 100 years
depending on the laws of the countries that they are in.
When I exchange with lineages the living are sometime shown
depending on who you are exchanging with, but my
request is that,if you update any of my data to the
internet, you also set the do not show the living, before
you update to the internet.
Also place in the source your contact email
address, and the lineage, so people can contact you
reqarding your update.
I have no claim to owning the data, except that which is
my immediate lineage, and even that is worked on by many
members of my family lineages. It is only as good as what
people put into it,that exchange with me. So look
in the notes of the genealogy for origin, if they put it
there,or the source.
If you are going to correct, update or put new branches on the
lineage your are inquirying about, please do not add from what
I have sent you,(This just duplicates how many more people
I have to find in the duplicates and merge them, edit your
notes to ensure that there is nothing there that you do not
want published.
Also do not submit information on copyrights that invades the
privacy of others especially for a relative that has not given
you permission to publish same.
Remember nothing is carved in stone except time.
The best way for me to describe the relationship, is for
example if you have 6,000 people in your data base
that are connected via interlocking marriages, and
you find that you have a marriage that is interlocked into
one of my people in my data base, then they are related
via interlocking marriages, does not matter how distant.
The difference here is that the interlocking into my data
base would link to over 631,749 people via interlocking
marriages.
My hobby is working on interlocking marriages,to any
family surname that is in my data, and I exchange with
people to find them, and to assist them in finding lineage
that link into their families.

Hi cousin,
What a pleasant surprise to find the family tree of Samuel H. Richardson
online @ ancestry.com . I thoroughly enjoyed reading your data about
marriages, children, occupations and immigration from England. What a lot
of work you must have done! My husband is part of this family. If you're
interested, I can add at least one offspring to your list. You list
Caroline Marston and Samuel H. Richardson as having "8 unknown
offspring." One of them was James Marston Richardson, my husband's great
grandfather. born: 20 Jan 1851 Readfield, Maine. Died 20 October _____,
Kansas City, Mo. Married 20 Dec. 1888 to Maude Helt. (can get you details
about her if you like.) Their son, James Marston Richardson II, born 6
June, 1896 in Kansas City, Mo. Died 14 Feb, 1939, Stuart,Florida. I have
some family stories about him.
Looking for family,
