I exchange data with people who have a interlocking marriage
into any surnames that interlocks into any of the branches
of my families.I started when I was 10 years old now 68years.
I am sharing my data in the interest of collaborative research.
I do this to help people to find there lineages and to fill
the pedigree charts.
I have not personally researched all families listed; dates
and information are subject to verification. Not responsible
for typographical errors misplaced citations. Missing
sources/references are because of my learning curve, not my
intention. You are encouraged to seek further documention
for your own confirmation.Further I have no control what
other people include about their families in any of the
data that they exchange.
If there are no dates about the living, then the computers
can not determine if the person is alive or deceased.
The sites set the living anywhere from 75 to 100 years
depending on the laws of the countries that they are in.
When I exchange with lineages the living are sometime shown
depending on who you are exchanging with, but my
request is that,if you update any of my data to the
internet, you also set the do not show the living, before
you update to the internet.
Also place in the source your contact email
address, and the lineage, so people can contact you
reqarding your update.
I have no claim to owning the data, except that which is
my immediate lineage, and even that is worked on by many
members of my family lineages. It is only as good as what
people put into it,that exchange with me. So look
in the notes of the genealogy for origin, if they put it
there,or the source.
If you are going to correct, update or put new branches on the
lineage your are inquirying about, please do not add from what
I have sent you,(This just duplicates how many more people
I have to find in the duplicates and merge them, edit your
notes to ensure that there is nothing there that you do not
want published.
Also do not submit information on copyrights that invades the
privacy of others especially for a relative that has not given
you permission to publish same.
Remember nothing is carved in stone except time.
The best way for me to describe the relationship, is for
example if you have 6,000 people in your data base
that are connected via interlocking marriages, and
you find that you have a marriage that is interlocked into
one of my people in my data base, then they are related
via interlocking marriages, does not matter how distant.
The difference here is that the interlocking into my data
base would link to over 631,749 people via interlocking
marriages.
My hobby is working on interlocking marriages,to any
family surname that is in my data, and I exchange with
people to find them, and to assist them in finding lineage
that link into their families.

Hannah (LIBBY) Carter was a refined, cultured woman. The family belonged to the Methodist Church. In 1834, Mormon elders brought to them in their home in Maine the gospel. The following account is written by Eliza Ann Carter Snow, daughter of Hannah.
I first embraced Mormonism in 1834 in the town of Newry, Oxford County, state of Maine. The first Mormon elders I ever heard preach were John F. Boynton and Daniel Bean. They came to my father's house and my mother lay very sick. The doctors had given her up. The elders told her they were preaching a new doctrine and they told her that she could be healed if she could have faith, that they would hold hands on her. They did lay hands on her and said, "In the name of the Lord Jesus, be thou made whole." And she was made whole and arose and called for her clothes and said, "I must go to the water. She walked one-half mile and was baptized in the river called Bear River and was confirmed. And there was a large branch raised up in that place.
John Carter did not join the Church. When his wife was healed he said, "That beats Doctor Bills," but he never joined the Church.
Of the nine children, Dominicus, Hannah (who had married Aaron York), William F., John, Eliza Ann, and Richard were all baptized, most of them in 1834. Two daughters and one son never became members.
Responding to the spirit of gathering which rested upon them, those who had embraced Mormonism left Maine in 1836 and traveled all the way to Kirtland, Ohio, then to [the] headquarters of the Church. They attended the temple, took part in the wonderful meetings, and joined the Saints in singing the songs of Zion.
The next year an apostate movement arose and John F. Boynton, the missionary who had brought the gospel to them in Maine and had since became one of the First Quorum of Apostles, became one of the bitterest and most violent leaders against the Prophet. So intense was the persecution that those who remained staunch and faithful were forced to leave for Far West, Missouri.
Early in 1838 William F. Carter and Eliza Ann, who had recently married James C. Snow, set out together for Missouri driving an ox team. The graphic story of that trying journey is told by Eliza Ann.
It was cold weather and we suffered much with the cold, but we traveled until we came to Terre Haute, Indiana, and one of our oxen died, leaving us with one ox, so we were obliged to stop. We had no money, no house to go in, and we got the privilege of going into a horse stable and I cleaned it out and was glad to get into a place out of the storms. After stopping in Indiana a few weeks, Hyrum Smith's company came along and he being acquainted with me, said to me, "If you will ride in my baggage wagon, I will take you along and you can drive the team and the men can walk." I said I will do so.
We traveled until we came to Jacksonville, Illinois. There one of Hyrum's horses died and he had to leave us. There was a branch of the Church nearby, but he did not leave us penniless among strangers, without home or friends, but he called for the president of the branch and told him to let Brother Snow preside over the branch as a missionary and to feed and cloth us until the Kirtland Camp company came along in the fall, and he did so. The president's name was __errick, the brother that was killed at the Hann's [Haun's] Mill Massacre in Missouri. While we were there in the branch I looked out and, behold, there came my brother, William, with the one ox that we had left behind. He had made a harness and tackled him up, and the one ox carried his wife and three children to Missouri, and when I saw him I rejoiced to see him have so much faith, but the Gentiles made all manner of fun of him. "There goes a d___ Mormon with his ox." But he got there just the same; and Father Joseph Smith said it should be in the annals of his history.
After that the Kirtland camp came along and we went to Missouri with them. We went into an old log house that we could poke a cat out between the logs and there my first child was born; it was the 30th day of October in the year 1838, Sarah Jane (her child), who became the wife of Marshall Kingman and afterward wife of President Joseph Young. It was cold and snowed every day and the mob came into Far West the very day of her birth, and we were much excited. I could not keep the midwife long enough to dress my child. Sister Diantha Billings was her name, well known among our people. The mob was blowing horns and firing guns all night long. We were without bread or anything to make bread of, but by the help of the Lord we were preserved by the brethren giving up their arms and promising to leave Far West. We left for Illinois in the month of February of the following year [1839]. There were three families to one wagon and one span of old horses, we took turns in walking. There was Brother Winslow Farr and wife, Garner Snow and wife, and James Snow and wife. We traveled all day and at night lay down at a campfire, as we had no tent.
Almost the last glimpse we have of her was obtained from letter written on March 5, 1867, by her son, Dominicus, to his brother, Phillip Carter, living on the site of Morley's Settlement in Illinois. Said he:
Mother is still alive, but very feeble. I don't think she can live long. She is getting old, rising nightly. If you should want to see her before she should die, you better come this spring and not wait till the railroad is finished. Mother wants me to say to you that she does not expect to live long on this earth and she wants that you should prepare to meet her in the world to come. She says the path she has pursued for the last 30 years is the only path by which you can enjoy her society in the world to come and be accepted of the Lord.
Myself, John, Hannah, and Eliza Ann live in Provo City. William and Aaron live 25 miles from here at a place called Santaquin. Aaron did live in the cotton county but has moved back. It was too hot in the country for him. Aaron's health is very poor, he is afflicted with rheumatism.
I have quit smithing and gone to farming. My eyes are so weak. I have a large shop rented. Blacksmithing is a very good business here. Brother John works at the business about half the time.
Now, Phillip, the world is in a bad situation and though I don't know what the matter is, therefore, I will honestly wish to give a little advice to my blood kin, whether kindly received or not, to come out of Babylon or confusion and come with us from the crash of the nations.
Yours respectfully,
DOMINICUS CARTER
Her death had occurred shortly before November 2, 1867, for on this day a letter written by Mary E. Whiting from Springville to a relative in Manti states, "Mother Carter is dead." Her funeral was held at the graveside in the Provo cemetery. The day was very cold.
Dominicus Carter spoke at the funeral of his mother and told how faithful she had always been. She had always been a true wife, had always (up)held the priesthood, and he said she should come forth in the first resurrection.
The true spirit of her life mission is summarized by the inspired words of the patriarch who pronounced upon her and her posterity this marvelous blessing:
The heavens and earth are stored with blessings for thee and thy posterity after thee. Thou hast been faithful in the day of trial. The principles of virtue are planted within thy bosom. The last day shall be thy best days, as the desires of thy heart shall be. Thy day shall be lengthened even until thou are in lawful heir and by proxy thou shalt administer and be blessed in thy administration in behalf of thine progenitors.
By Patriarchal BlessingMay 5, 1844, Book 14
On Memorial Day, May 30, 1941. 155 years after her birth, 90 years after she crossed the plains, and 74 years after her death, 90 members of her posterity held a memorial service in her honor, sang again the songs that were sung at her funeral, and listened to a sketch of her rich life story. Then once again they gathered at her graveside and dedicated a bronze marker as a lasting memorial to her name and noble character. It bore this inscription (beside the motif of a covered wagon):
Hannah Knight Libby Carter
October 9, 1786-November, 1867.
"Faithful in the day of Trial."

The difference here is that the interlocking into my data
base would link to over 631,749 people via interlocking
marriages.
My hobby is working on interlocking marriages,to any
family surname that is in my data, and I exchange with
people to find them, and to assist them in finding lineage
that link into their families.

want published.
Also do not submit information on copyrights that invades the

General Notes: Child - Patience Arminta Andrews

131. Clement3 Weaver III (Clement2, Clement1);41 born 16 4 7 at Prob. Ne wp ort, RI;41 married Unknown Unknown circa 1 66 8;41 died 6 Sep 1691; di ed a ge 44, buried in East Greenw ic h RI.41
He "3. CLEMENT3 WEAVER (Clement2 (2) Clement1) probably w a s born in Ne wp ort, R. I., not far from 1647. He died shor tl y before Sept. 8, 169 1, a nd was buried in East Greenwic h o n land that descended to his olde st so n, Clement,4 as s ee n by the latter's will. His first wife, marri ed abo ut 16 68 , whose name has not been ascertained, died previous t o S ep t ., 1677. He married (2) after May 6, 1678, Rachel An drew s of Newpor t, t he dates of whose birth and death as we ll a s the names of her paren ts re main in oblivion thus far . Pos sibly she was a widow. She surviv ed him a nd was mad e execut rix. She was alive Nov. 2, 1697.
The earliest known record of Clement3 Weaver is a deed giv e n by his mo th er to her brother, Gideon Freeborn, March 6 , 1 664, which he also sig ne d, making his mark as did the o ther s who signed it. As he was undoubt ed ly under age whe n thi s document was passed, the deed could not const it ut e a perf ect title; therefore, apparently, on January 1 5, 1 67 6, he a nd his brother John gave their uncle a second dee d of exa ct ly t he same piece of land. Oct. 22, 1673, in th e court at N ewpo rt he won t he verdict in a suit brought ag ainst him b y Dr. Henry Greenl and for an a lleged debt.
May 4, 1675, he was admitted as a freeman of the town of N e wpor t, a nd on Oct. 31, 1677, he was a freeman of East Gre en wich.
On Oct. 31, 1677, Clement Weaver and John Weaver were amo n g the fif ty gr antees of the 5,000 acres "in the Narragans et t Country" to be kno wn as E ast Greenwich. Each portion w a s to consist of 100 acres. The hou se-lo ts of all, ten acr e s each, were to be laid out together "near t he sea ." Th e ac t of the General Assembly incorporating this to wn re ad s, "A nd further this Assembly do enact, order and declare , f or t he s ervices rendered during King Philip's War the p ersons h ere nam ed are t he persons who shall possess the sa me." Clem ent and John Weav er were nam ed with 48 others. Th is doubtle ss accounts for the fact th at Clement3 w as calle d "Captain. " He served in King Philip's War and pr obably h e w as captai n of one of the companies.
On April 10, 1678, he was chosen Sergeant of East Greenwi c h and hen ce mu st have been a resident.
On Aug. 28, 1680, Sergeant Clement2 Weaver of Newport deed e d to h is s on Clement3 Weaver of East Greenwich the life t en ure of his 90 ac re fa rm in East Greenwich directing tha t Wi lliam,4 son of Clement3 shou ld suc ceed to it after th e deat h of his father. Sept. 14, 1680, Clemen t3 excha nge d this fa rm with John Wood for his 90 acres.
September, 1680, both he and his father were taxed as owni n g esta te in N ewport and also in East Greenwich.
May 5, 1683, Elizabeth Brown of Newport, widow and executr i x of Jam es Br own, for oe12, sold land to Clement Weaver . H e seems to have be en usef ul and prominent in the town a ffai rs from the first, servi ng as assesso r, moderator of t he to wn meetings, on the petit and gra nd juries, on a s pec ial co mmittee to lay out the farms, etc., and on t he tow n counc il . He was chosen Deputy to the General Court at Ne wpo rt Feb . 20, 1679- 80 and was returned to that post Feb . 28, 1682 , in 16 83, 1684 and 1689.
The first record in which he is given the title "Captain " i s a rec ei pt in the East Greenwich town records dated Ma rc h 9, 1680-1 from Jo hn Wo od for "all accounts from the be gin ning of the world" to date.
In 1685-6 Captain Clement Weaver and Philip Long, who ha d b een appoi nt ed at a previous meeting, to find a suitabl e an d convenient lot f or a bu rying place made their report . Feb . 26, 1689-90 Captain Cleme nt Weaver w as Deputy to th e Gene ral Assembly. In the settlement of h is esta te he i s likewis e dignified with this title.
There appears to have been a difference of opinion betwe e n him and t he c ourt officials regarding his second marria ge , for both he and Rach el dec lared before Magistrate Jose p h Clarke on Sept. 26, 1677, that th ey we re married, yet t h e court held that they were not and impos ed a fi ne of tw o p ounds on each of them. When finally the case w as tr ie d Ma y 6, 1678, she was designated Rachel Andrews in all th e r ec or ds of this trial. Unfortunately the testimony in th e cas e has n ot surviv ed and we do not know what evidence m ay hav e been present ed in their fav or. There may have bee n a cere mony which they believed w as legal. Certai nly th e affair di d not apparently affect the este em in which the y we re held , for, as has been stated, Clement was acti ve a nd prominen t in a ffairs of town and colony and Feb. 24, 16 84, h is wif e Rachel Weaver, w as chosen one of a jury of wo men whom th e Ea st Greenwich Council call ed to make investi gation in ca se of a woman ac cused of crime. He re is a ver y early preced ent on a subject that has be en much discus se d lately.
He purchased several parcels of land in East Greenwich a n d continu ed h is activities until his death.

CHILDREN (by second wife):
III. Judith4 or Juda4 born, perhaps, June 24, 1674. Th e R . I. Dictio na ry places
her among the children of Capt. Clement3 by his first wif e , but, in the
will of Capt. Clement3 she is called Juda Androes and, i n t he absence of
evidence to the contrary, it is assumed that she was the d a ughter of R ac hel
Andrews by a former marriage. She is thought to have bee n i dentical with
the Judith Weaver whose marriage in 1694 to Henry Mattes o n is seen in
the printed records of East Greenwich. For names of thei r c hildren see
Austin's R. I. Dictionary, p. 132. The court proceeding me n tioned above
suggests the possibility that she may have been the daught e r of Capt.
Clement3 and Rachel Andrews, born before they had compli e d with all of
the marriage requirements of the Colony.
