DEATH: MELBA BLACK NEBEKER
Melba Black Nebeker died on February 10, 1997 in St. George, Utah. She was born April 9, 1908 in Cowley, Big Horn County, Wyoming. She was the daughter of John F. Black and Eliza Rosetta King. She was married to Lee S. Nebeker on December 26, 1931 in Salt Lake City. The marriage was later solemnized in the LDS Temple in Salt Lake City. They lived in Green River, Wyoming for 32 years where she taught kindergarten in the public schools. She was educated at the University of Wyoming and Brigham Young University. She and Lee moved to Orem in 1972. After the death of her husband, she continued to live in Orem and later moved to St. George. She was an active member of the LDS Church and was a Primary president for 15 years, a counselor in theLyman Stake Young Women's Organization, a teacher in the Relief Society organization and was a temple worker in the Provo Temple. She is survived by two daughters, one son, 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Survivors include her daughter, Roselyn (Ronald) Kirk, Salt Lake City; Ruthanne (J. Nicholas) Spencer, Mission Viejo, California; and Robert L. Nebeker (Shirley), Idaho Falls, Idaho; other survivors are brothers, Volney Black, John K. Black (Norma), and Wilson Lythgoe and sister, Irene Belue (Travis) and sister-in-law, Rosa Vida Black. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee and four brothers and sisters. Services are scheduled for Thursday, February 13 at 11 a.m. in the St. George LDS 19th Ward at 550 East 700 South. The family will meet with friends on Wednesday, February 12, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Metcalf Mortuary at 300 West St. George Blvd. and also one hour prior to services at the 19th Ward. An additional viewing will be held on Friday, February 14 from 11 to 12 at the Sunberg-Olpin Mortuary at 495 South State Street in Orem, Utah. Burial will be at 12:30 at the Payson City Cemetery under the direction of Metcalf Mortuary.

Jordan Falls, May 31 .....The death occured here at his home of Allen Blackburn on Wednesday. Deceased had been in poor health for some time but had only been confined to his bed a week. He was 89 years, 11 months of age, and a highly
respected ..... a home loving man and an upright christian, always with a kind word for all. He was a member of the Baptist Church and attended as long as he was able to get around.
He leaves to mourn the loss of a loving husband and father his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Roland Matthews of Jordan Falls; Mrs. Jennie Wilson , Cambridge, Mass,; one son Charles Blackburn U.S.A.; one brother, Charles Blackburn Aylesford, N.S.
and one sister, Mrs. L.J. Harris, Cambridge, Mass, 3 grandchildren, Mrs. Rowley Varner, of Malagash; Loran Matthews Cambridge Mass, 7 great grandchildren. Funeral service was held from his home at 2 p.m. Sunday and was largely attended.
Service was conducted by his pastor. Rev. W.A. Robbins, of Shelburne, and interment took place in the United Church Cemetery. Underbearers were Messrs Frank O'Connors, Lewis deMolitor, Dell P. Holden and Leslie Barclay.
The floral tributes were many and beautiful testifying to the high esteem held for the deceased. The sympathy of the community goes to the bereaved ones.

MRS ANGELINE BLACKBURN
Many friends will regret to learn of the sudden death at Jordan Falls on Friday of Mrs. Angeline Blackburn, widow of Allen Blackburn, at the age of 88 years.
While in failing health for some time her death was unexpected. In her younger days the deceased was a popular nurse and was a member of the Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters and one son; Mrs. Ronald Mathews, Jordan Falls; Mrs. Wilson and Charles in the United States. Loran Mathews of Boston and Powley Varner of Malagash are grandchildren. Funeral was held on Sunday, the service
being conducted by Rev. W. A. Robbins. Underbearers were Frank Harris, Lewis DeMoliter, Frank G. Connors and Joseph MacKay.
