Settled in Tennessee after his marriage, and the family remained there until David was 6 kyears old, when he moved his family ton near Lexington, Kentucky. When sectional feeling ran high, about the time of the opening of the Civil War, Daniel, being a Union man, returned to the oldhome in Tennessee, where he and his wife died, just a few days apart in 1863 (Thompson 794 FTW).

LEVI RICHARDSON, second son of Maj. Joseph Richardson; b. in Woburn,
Feb. 8, 1733-4; m. Abigail Farwell.
I think he was a soldier in the expedition to Crown Point, from June to
Oct., 1755, in a company commanded by Capt. John Taplin. The record
which is before me says Louis Richardson, another record Says Lewis
Richardson. But in those times there was no Louis or Lewis Richardson,
either of Reading, Woburn, or vicinity. The record should have said Levi.
Levi Richardson was a goldsmith by trade. He was of Hallowell, Me., in
1795, and bought of Thomas Craig, of Readfield, "a certain tract or
parcel of land, with a dwelling-hhouse and barn thereon, in said
Readfield, on the road leading to Sandy River, June 1, 1795." [Lincoln
Deeds, xxxiv.250.]
Levi Richardson, late of hallowell, blacksmith, was sued by D.
Tuckerman, 1796. and by John Jones, 1797 [Lincoln Deeds, xxxvii. 229,
xxxviii. 242.]
After the birth of one child, 1754,he removed to Maine. His widow
Abigail married a Bacon; settled in what is now Waterville, and had six
other children, two sons and four daughters.

Would you believe that I printed info on Eliot Frost that I found on
Ancestry.com on 6 Apr 2002 (yes, a year ago) and just now noticed that
the author was you. Yep, John Kaherl. Isn't this you? WOW! Wish I had
emailed you 15 months ago. I was going through my Richardson book to get
you the dates of Jerusha's marriages when I noticed your name with my
Frost stuff.
My source:FHL film #0012303 Vital Records 1771-1892, Winslow Town
Clerk, Winslow, ME.I viewed the film while visiting the Maine State
Library and Archives. Hereis a what I copied from my notes:
"Town of Winslow Vital Records recorded Page 240, Vol I: Joseph
Richardson and Rushey Reead married 10 Dec 1778. The above was microfilm
found at Maine State Archives June 14-17, 2000.
Note the nickname and spelling of Reead."
And the same source "Marriage Intention dated 18 Mar 1797 between
Solomon Parker and
Jerusha Richardson.
Note the spelling of Jerusha."
John, I made a notation about spelling because earlier I had found the
birth info on Joseph Richardson and it showed "Gerusha" as spelling.
I have some info on all the children of Joseph and Jerusha and I have
tonsof info on the family of Ebenezer Richardson (the youngest child b.
2 Aug 1794, Winslow, Kennebec, ME) and his 2 wives. Ebenezer had 7
children with hisfirst wife Sylvia Brockway and 8 children with second
wife Sarah J. (Sally) Frost. Yep, you guessed it. My great grandfather
was Albert Richardson, son of Eben and Sarah. And my research on the
Frost family is how I found your research last year. Wow, huh? Sarah J.
(Sally) Frost was b.13 Oct 1812 in Canaan, ME daughter of Eliot Frost and
Mercy. Your research shows Margry Worster as the mother so I am guessing
that Mercy was a nickname?
Well, this emailis getting rather lengthy. You may use me as a source
for the above information and please do. Nothing annoys me more than a
newbie citing sources as if they were their own or not showing sources at
all. I have found so much mis-information on the internet and I was SO

When we lived in NH, I made two trips to Maine to do research. I found
quite a bit at Augusta in 2000 and I was able to view the original Town
Clerk recordsin Canaan Maine in 2002. I also found Probate records and
Deed records for Jerusha but nothing on her birth or parents..
Unfortunately most of my research is still in the paper form. I am just
now starting to get it entered on the PAF program from LDS
Familysearch.com.

Founding Father, Statesman. The thirteen states after the Revolutionary War were weak and still separate. Alexander Hamilton was the strong voice calling for a strong united government with a new Constitution and then most instrumental in the formation and convening of the Constitutional Convention at Philadelphia which established the United States of America. He was born southeast of Florida on Nevis, a small island making up the group in the Caribbean known as the West Indies. His mother was unwed and the daughter of a doctor and his father a merchant. He was tutored but mostly self educated while growing up in St Croix where his mother died when he was eleven forcing him to support himself. Finding employment in the office of a Merchant, becoming most capable while writing and submitting articles to a local newspaper which were published. He became liked and well known as was his ambition to attend college. The local merchants recognizing his talents, paid to educate him, funding his venture to New York where he entered King's College (Columbia). He soon became an activist for independence from Britain and his enthusiasm encouraged entry into the army serving as George Washington's chief military aide. Hamilton distinguished himself taking part in many battles. His main contribution was as commander of the troops during the Battle of Yorktown. He represented the state of New York at the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia. The new Constitution written, Hamilton worked to have it accepted by speech making and using the pamphleteer method for publishing favorable articles. George Washington as President, appointed him to the first nations cabinet as Secretary of the Treasury at age 34. Hamilton became its most prominent member outlining the new nation's monetary policy, raising funds to pay off the Revolutionary War debts and funding the administration. During his tenure, he left behind a staggering legacy: He restored public credit in a nation bankrupted by war debt, devised the first tax, budget, accounting systems, installed the Customs Service, Coast Guard while conceiving the first central bank. Hamilton had opposed Aaron Burr when he was running for President and again when running for governor of New York. Hamilton surmised Burr was not fit to occupy either office and through his influence had him defeated. It was the custom to settle serious arguments with pistols at close range. Burr then Vice President, challenged Hamilton to a duel and the challenge was accepted. They met at dawn the next morning across the Hudson at Weehawken, New Jersey. Hamilton did not intend to shoot Burr but his opponent shot to kill and seriously wounded Hamilton. He was conveyed by boat back to Manhattan and spend his final hours at a house on Jane Street where he received medical attention. He requested communion and it was administered by the rector from the family's nearby Trinity Church and his death followed at the young age of 49.
