All info below from Albert Nye:
Peter Allen was a loyalist and received in 1842 at age 79 (listed as dead) in York County New Brunswick for Revoluionary War service. Dorcas Allen received relief in 1842 at age 52 in York County< NB for being a widow of Revolutionary War Veteran. Source is Old Soldiers Lists, relief fund of Feb 1843. Published by Secretary's Office, NB 17 March 1843. (nothing on her Madien name).
Peter was a farmer.
Peter joined the New Jersey Volunteers 4th Battalion Loyalist Army. He was wounded in an engaement at a place called "The Burnt Meadows" on Staten Island. He came to NB in 1783.
He lost his discharge papers when his house was destroyed by fire. He never received any land from the Crown so he petitioned the house of assembly because at age 76 he was in very indigent circumstances and unable to labor and asked for relief.

FUNERAL HELD FOR R.E. GRAVES
Rufus Everett Graves, 76 years, 6 months and 11 days old, died at his home in Plano last Thursday morning at 6o'clock.
Funeral services were held at the family residence Friday afternoon.....Snider of McKinney assisted by Rev. A. E. Leake.
Internment was made in the Mutual cemetery; E. O Harrington was in charge of arrangements.
The deceased was a native of Tennessee. He came to Texas about 67 years ago and had since lived in Collin County. He had lived in Plano since 1921. For many years before moving to Plano, Mr. Graves had lived near McKinney and in the Roland community. He engaged in farming until he was forced to give up his farm work on account of ill health.
Besides his widow, the deceased is survived by 5 sons. They are: H.R. and C.L. Graves of Oakland, California; L. J., H.A. and J. W. Graves, of Plano. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Family lore: My father, Sam Houston Graves, grandson of Rufus, told me that Rufus and all his sons were over 6'4 and that Slim was nicknamed that because he was the tallest at 6'9 and skinney as a rail. My father was 6'3.

----------
'Thomas Wilder's daughter Mary married Daniel Allen, a cooper in Charlestown, and upon a gift of forty acres of land from her father, they came to Lancaster, bringing children born in Charlestown and Watertown, but after some years of residence returned to Watertown. Their son Ebenezer returned to Lancaster, and his son Ebenezer was a man of note here in revolution ary times. The Allen homestead is in the borders of Clinton, and now occupied by E. A. Currier. Benjamin Allen, who had children born in Lancaster before the massacre, was probably a brother of Daniel.'
