Note: ...George and Abbie resided in Eurika Caif. though married in Maine when he returned from Calif. George was among the first at the Alaska Gold Rush, Klondike in 1896. He staked his claim on a hill away from the Yokon River for which miners dubbed him "Crazy" Lancaster. His strike yeilded him two million dollars in gold. Al went west in 1890's. In 1896 he took part in the Alaskan gold rush working the high ridges of the Klondike. He was nicknames "Crazy Al" but Al found gold and established the first Bench Mark Claim in the USA (Lancaster Family Genealogy by Ken Stewart)

Note: ...George and Abbie resided in Eurika Caif. though married in Maine when he returned from Calif. George was among the first at the Alaska Gold Rush, Klondike in 1896. He staked his claim on a hill away from the Yokon River for which miners dubbed him "Crazy" Lancaster. His strike yeilded him two million dollars in gold. Al went west in 1890's. In 1896 he took part in the Alaskan gold rush working the high ridges of the Klondike. He was nicknames "Crazy Al" but Al found gold and established the first Bench Mark Claim in the USA (Lancaster Family Genealogy by Ken Stewart)
