"Robson Morice, second son of Leonard and Eliza Robson Dixon, at an early age evinced a great fondness for speculation. He bought a vessel and engaged in the coasting business with some success, and then went into ship building and merchandise. He finally invested largely in an iron foundry, which did not prove a success. He married Elizabeth, youngest daughter of Christopher Boultenhouse, Esq. They had a son named Arthur Rainsford, and two other children who died in infancy. Mrs. Dixon died in 1871, aged 25 years. Robson M. Dixon died in 1874, aged 36 years."

General Notes: Husband - Charles Dixon
Charles, eldest son of Edward and Mary Smith Dixon, when a young man evinced a decided prediliction for a mechanical occupation in preference to farming, and chose a carpenter's trade, in which, without serving any apprenticeship, he became a proficient in a short time. He married Miss Sarah Boultenhouse in the year 1827. Shortly after his marriage he removed to Windsor, N.S., where he followed his occupation until 1831, when he returned to Sackville where he resided the remainder of his life. He was an excellent mechanic and was both architect and builder of many of the best buildings erected in Sackville during his time. In 1850 he engaged in ship building, which he followed about seven years, which did not prove a financial success. He was an active and prominent man in the community, a leading magistrate, a zealous promoter of the cause of temperance, and filled the positions of Trustee, Leader and Local Preacher in the Methodist Church, of which both he and Mrs. Dixon were lifelong and devoted members. Mr. Dixon died in the year 1864, in the 61st year of his age. Mrs. Dixon died in the year 1884, aged 74 years. The family of Charles and Sarah Boultenhouse Dixon, consisted of Charles, who died at the age of 11 years, Sarah, Mary Elisabeth, John E., William B., Christopher E., Charlotte J., Robert Y., Charles, Henry Arthur, and Frederic Allison who died in childhood.

General Notes: Wife - Sarah Boultenhouse
the largest vessel ever constructed in Sackville (New Brunswick) was the "Sarah Dixon" built at the Dixon Shipyard (next to the Old Town Warf off Landing Road) in 1856. The ship was named after Charles Dixon's wife (Sarah Boultenhouse); it was a full-rigged ship of 1,468 tonnes and was slightly larger than the Cutty Sark but smaller than the Marco Polo. Once the vessel was completed it sailed to England where it was sold. In 1857, it carried 600 settlers to Australia and was later (1859) lost off Rangoon.

General Notes: Child - Mary Elizabeth Dixon
Mary Elizabeth, second daughter of Charles and Sarah Boultenhouse Dixon, married Thomas Pickard in 1854. They reside at Sackville, where Mr. Pickard for many years held the Professorship of Mathematics in the Mount Allison Academy and College. When he retired from that position he engaged in farming. In 1874 he was elected one of the representatives of Westmoreland County, in the local Parliment, and served the usual quadrennial term. The family of Thomas and Mary E. Dixon Pickard consisted of one daughter and three sons, named Sarah Burpee, Humphrey F., Charles A., Thomas E., Dwight, and two others named Mary Alice and Edward Dwight, who died in childhood.
