MADAWASKA - Conrad P. Daigle, 71, died at a Bangor hospital, Dec. 3, 1999. Born in Fort Kent on Feb. 20, 1928, son of Ludger and Azilda (Daigle) Daigle. He was a member of the 4th degree Knights of Columbus Council 2638, past member of the Lion's Club, past National Guard, member of the St. Thomas church choir, president of the Golden Gate Shuffling Club in Florida. He and his wife established Una's Restaurant in Frenchville. He was a devoted and loving husband and father. He is survived by his wife, Una (Theriault) of Frenchville, Allen of Boulder, Colo., Lynda Ouellette and Judy Bouchard of Frenchville, Jerry of Germany, Catherine Hebert of St. Agatha, Louise Speed of Bradford, Lisa St. Jean of Lisbon Falls, Daniel of Nashua, N.H., Andrew of Eagle, Colo; 26 grandchildren; two sisters, Martha Morrisette and Onielda Sekman, both of Florida; two brothers, Zenon Daigle of Fort Kent and Armand Daigle of Connecticut. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Madawaska. Visiting hour at the Daigle Funeral Home in Madawaska on Monday from 1 p.m. until time of service. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

EMMA (DAIGLE) DAIGLE DAIGLE - Emma (Daigle) Daigle, 90, died Feb. 4, 2001, at a Fort Kent health-care facility. She was born in Daigle, Jan. 8, 1911, the daughter of Maxime and Delia Daigle. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by two daughters, Delia Lesieur of Saco, Rita and (Ralph G.) Courtois, both of Biddeford; five sons, Rosaire and (Priscilla) Daigle, Claude and (Noelia) Daigle, Clarence and (Stella) Daigle, Armand and (Huguette) Daigle and Normand Daigle, all of Daigle; one sister, Lucy Daigle of Norfolk, Va.; 21 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 10 great-stepgrandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Emma was predeceased by her husband, Alcide in 1970; one son, Gilman; one sister, Alzida; and two brothers, Sylvio and Leo; one brother-in-law, Paul in 1972; and one daughter-in-law, Lowell in 1996. Friends may call at the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent, 8 a.m. Friday until time of service. A memorial service will be celebrated!
10 a.m. Friday at the St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent, with the Rev. James Plourde officiating. Spring burial will be at the Holy Family Cemetery, Daigle.
