She is survived by 1 daughter, Rose Marie Frenette of Frisco, Texas; 1 brother, Alderic Daigle of Edmundston; 2 sisters,Irene Nadeau of St. Francois, NB, & Sr. Irma Daigle of St.Louis de Kent, NB; 3 grandchildren. She was born in Baker Brook, N.B., Canada, July 29, 1900, the daughter of Felix and Zeline (Nadeau) Daigle. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella Circle No. 546 of Madawaska. She is survived by one daughter, Rose Marie Frenette and her husband, Lloyd of Frisco, Texas; one stepsons, Joffre Daigle and his wife, Gloria of Madawaska; two stepdaughters, France Morin and her husband, Roland of Madawaska and Brigitte Cote and her husband, Paul Emile of Edmundston, N.B.; one brother, Alderic Daigle of Edmundston; two sisters, Mrs. Docithe (Irene) Nadeau of St. Francois, N.B., and Sr. Irma Daigle of St. Louis de Kent, N.B.; three grandchildren, Kim, Tracey and Derek Frenette; 10 stepgrandchildren. Fletcher J. "Red" Daigle
SKOWHEGAN -- Fletcher "Red" J. Daigle passed away on Friday, Aug. 6, 2010, after a short illness with his family and friends by his side.
Fletcher was born in Kingman on Feb. 24, 1929, the son of Mack and Marsha Daigle.
He attended Madison High School. After high school he joined the Navy and served for four years on an aircraft carrier in the Korean Conflict. After coming back he owned and operated his own service station in Skowhegan. He then moved on to work at Hight Chevrolet as a salesman for 38 years.
He was married to Helen May Gaffey on Feb. 23, 1952.
Fletcher enjoyed spending time with his family and friends at West Carry Pond where they had a camp for many years. He especially enjoyed happy hours spent on the porch with his close friend Joe Fichthorn.
Fletcher was predeceased by his loving wife, Helen, who passed away on June 7, 2010.
He is survived by his son, Brent Daigle of Skowhegan; his brother, Claude Daigle of Winslow; his sister, Rose Allain of Madison; his grandsons, Jonah Daigle and his wife, Hanah, of New Canada, Minn., Ben Daigle and his fiancŽe, Heather Rogers, of Yarmouth and Mick Daigle, also of Yarmouth and very special friends Joe and Maryann Fichthorn of Madison.
He was predeceased by his mother and father Mack and Marsha Daigle, and brothers Wallace, Dave, Ben, Alfred, Philip and Vallair Daigle.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity.
A committal service will be held at noon on Friday, Aug. 20, at the new Maine Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, Mount Vernon Road, Augusta.

PIERRE A. BLANCHARD--Subject was born 1 August 1844 in Assumption Parish, son of Pierre and Elzia S. (Harbet) Blanchard, both of whom were natives of the same parish. Pierre Adolph received an ordinary education and in 1862, enlisted in Company A of the Eighteenth Louisiana Infantry, participating in the battles of Mansfield and Pleasant Hill. The unit was disbanded in May of 1865 in Natchitoches.
He was married 27 April 1869 to Miss Oliva Daigle of Assumption
Parish and they were the parents of nine children, four sons and five daughters. Pierre Adolph became the manager of H. Daigle plantation consisting of 1,180 acres six miles from Donaldsonville. There, he conducted a large open kettle process of making sugar and both he and his wife were living on the plantation in 1890

MADAWASKA - Delphine Daigle, 100, died after a brief illness on Aug. 16, 2001, at a Frenchville nursing home. She was born in Fort Kent, April 15, 1901, the daughter of Magloire "Mack" and Henrietta (Bouchard) Robichaud. As a young woman, Delphine worked as a laundry supervisor in Fort Kent. She claimed to be the first lady in Fort Kent to ever purchase and own her own car. She was always very proud of this accomplishment and shared this story many times with family and loved ones. Delphine married Oscar R. Daigle on June 16, 1926, and they celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary in 1996. She will be remembered as a devoted and loving Mom who loved her children more than life itself. She was a wonderful grandmother, a great cook, and story teller. She was a fantastic Charlemagne card player (and winner!) and probably the only person her age who could recite by rote the 16 counties of Maine. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by five ch!
ildren: John M. Daigle and his wife, Patricia and Ronald Daigle, all of Madawaska, Carrol "Ti" Daigle and his wife, Ann of Frenchville, Mrs. Edwin (Laura Mae Daigle) Corriveau of Fort Kent, Ruth (Daigle) Thompson of Albuquerque, N.M., 16 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Oscar Daigle on Jan. 14, 1997. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church with the Rev. John Audibert officiating. Friends and relatives may call at the Daigle Funeral Home 7-9 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until time of services on Monday. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

MADAWASKA - Paul J. Daigle, 81, died April 21, 2000, at an Edmundston, N.B., Canada hospital. He was born in St. David, July 18, 1918, the son of Joseph and Marie (Jalbert) Daigle. He worked for Fraser Papers for 43 years as a paper maker. He was a U.S. Air Force ETO veteran of World War II and served in the Civilian Conservation Corps. Paul was a lifetime member of the Thomas O. Cyr Legion Post No. 147 of Madawaska and served as post commander, county commander, and the 7th District commander. In 1954, he helped establish the Children & Youth Program in the 7th District, in which he served for 30 years. He also earned 4 combat ribbons with a gold star, good conduct medal, and a driver's medal. Paul served on the board of High View Manor and was president of the Elderly Home. He is survived by his wife, Edmay (Lausier) Daigle of Madawaska; one son, Harold Daigle and his wife, Gilberte of Madawaska; two grandchildren, Scott and Sandra Daigle, both of Old Orchard Beach; one br!
other, Rino Daigle and his wife, Georgette of Marlboro, Mass.; three sisters, Agnes Beaulieu and her husband, Cyrill of Madawaska, Bertha Fongemie of Madawaska and Therese Sartain and her husband, Wyvil of Mississippi. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Friends and relatives may call at Daigle Funeral Home 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. until time of services on Tuesday. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
