Ernest Daigle, 85, died July 5, 2005, in Madawaska. He was born in New Canada, Maine, July 30, 1919, the son of Alcime and Marie (Levesque) Daigle. He is survived by one son, Joel Daigle of Jupiter, Fla.; one daughter, Patricia Daigle of Jupiter, Fla.; four grandchildren, Shannon Scotten, Shawn Daigle, J.J. Poitras and Chantalle Poitras-Dell; two great- grandchildren, Austyn and Cayleigh Scotten. He was predeceased by his wife, Prescille (Pelletier) Daigle in 1992. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Friends and relatives may call at the Daigle Funeral Home from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until time of services on Saturday. Interment will be in the parish cemetery

She is survived by 1 daughter, Rose Marie Frenette of Frisco, Texas; 1 brother, Alderic Daigle of Edmundston; 2 sisters,Irene Nadeau of St. Francois, NB, & Sr. Irma Daigle of St.Louis de Kent, NB; 3 grandchildren. She was Predeceased by 1 brother, Msgr. Lionel Daigle.

MADAWASKA - Melanie Daigle, 99, wife of the late Willie Daigle, died May 25, 2000, at a Fort Kent hospital. She was born in Baker Brook, N.B., Canada, July 29, 1900, the daughter of Felix and Zeline (Nadeau) Daigle. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella Circle No. 546 of Madawaska. She is survived by one daughter, Rose Marie Frenette and her husband, Lloyd of Frisco, Texas; one stepsons, Joffre Daigle and his wife, Gloria of Madawaska; two stepdaughters, France Morin and her husband, Roland of Madawaska and Brigitte Cote and her husband, Paul Emile of Edmundston, N.B.; one brother, Alderic Daigle of Edmundston; two sisters, Mrs. Docithe (Irene) Nadeau of St. Francois, N.B., and Sr. Irma Daigle of St. Louis de Kent, N.B.; three grandchildren, Kim, Tracey and Derek Frenette; 10 stepgrandchildren. She was predeceased by one brother, Msgr. Lionel Daigle. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Madawaska. Friends and relatives may call a!
