General Notes: Wife - Catherine Loignon
Catherine was the daughter of Pierre Loignon and Francoise Roussin. Record indicated that Pierre died on 13 Mar 1703 in Chateau Richer, thus Catherine second generation in Canada. Catherine was 13 years old when married to Etienne Drouin.
Notes: Marriage
The marriage took place at Ste Famille in front of the parish priest, "cure Lamy". Nicolas his brother, was representative of his father, and Catherine was led by her own father Pierre. Pierre was generous with all of his girls, and left has a dawry each, five or six hundred "livres" in money, beast, clothing or furnitures.

She had two children with Jean Baugis: Jean-Baptiste and Charles-Louis.
Her first husband, Pierre Crete bought a lot in upper town Quebec City on 23 Jan 1716 (source actes notarier p.5)
On 19 Jul (from the same source) she transported a building from the lot in Quebec City (likely to Beauport)..

Jean took over the family farm on his father's death 7 Mar 1744. The farm was the original land deeded to Robert Drouin in 1646 at Chateau Richer.

Tanguay indicated marriage in 1727, while another publiction indicates 1728 (same month and day).
Pierre (also known as Pierre-Joseph) was a captain in the militia at cote St Michel. He had under his command, 41 men in 1750 and 80 in 1755.
On 17 Nov 1758 he signed a contract for the construction of a barn at St Michel (actes notarier p.6)
He seemed to have died following this, as his widow remarried on 14 Jan 1759. She remarried to Jacques Osselet dit Monmidi a soldier of the Regement de Bearn.
Likely this Jacques was a soldier under her husband who had been a Captain in the local militia at cote St Michel.

OBITUARY-DOURIN (sic)
Frank Dourin, aged 95 years, a resident of this vicinity for the past (looks like 95 but can't be) years, died Wednesday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Paul LeClair, 1005 Marquette avenue, after a lingering illness. Mr. Dourin came here from Canada. Surviving him are two sons and five daughters, Pierre Dourin and Mrs. Marie Bisson, of Quebec, Canada, Fred Dourin, of Pinconning, Mrs. Paul LeClair and Mrs. Emery Gardner, of this city, Mrs. John Goulette, of Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. James Greene, of Port Huron. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 8:30 from the home of Mrs. LeClaire, and at 9 o'clock from Visitation Church. Burial will be at Calvary cemetery, Kawkawlin.
Of course the reference to Dourin is meant to be DROUIN.

JOSEPH DROUIN IS VICTIM OF ATTACK OF PNEUMONIA
Well Known Young Man Died at His Home at 2:15 Thursday Morning
After an illness of just one week Joseph Drouin, aged 33, and well known on the west side died at his home, Henry and White avenues of pleuro-pneumonia. For the past three days the deceased hovered between life and death and while his physician recognized the seriousness of his condition, his former robust strength and young manhood were counted upon to aid in his recovery.
Deceased is survived by Mrs. Drouin and two children, Earl and Overna, and two brothers, Frederick of Pinconning and Frank of this city, the latter a former partner of the deceased in business.
Funeral services will be held Saturday morning from Calvary church in Salzburg. Internment will be in St. Patrick's.

Isidore went into the priesthood. First at the College de Levis then at the Grand seminaire de Quebec. He died on a place crash in France, coming back from Rome. The plane crash on Mont Obiou on 13 Nov 1950. He was buried at the Canadian cemetery at Notre-Dame de la Salette. The plane was carrying a party of church oriented persons on a pilgrimage to Rome.
